JOE BAROWS (1) is a two-year-old colt who lines up for the first time. From a family of winners, being by Van Gogh from Juliet Song. Comes out of the strong juvenile stable of Isao Sugawara. Should get all the favours from this good gate and looks the one they have to beat. DAISEN SMILE (7) is a two-year-old filly on debut by Hokko Tarumae from Bewitched who has been a prolific producer of winners. Comes from a stable which has an impressive strike rate with the first-starters. Should be thereabouts despite an awkward draw. BLACK ROOKIE (3) is facing the starter for the first time. By Gold Dream and is out of the Kudou Yuukou stable. Any push in betting should be respected. MIZUSAN AMONT (4) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Shinichi Hatakeyama. By Isla Bonita from Fancy Amont. Worth watching for a betting push.
