BUNBURY VOLKSWAGEN MAIDEN 1200m
Maureen's Angel is the likely leader at a keen tempo. COMMON TOUCH (1) returns and while he's found the maiden win elusive, it certainly hasn't been without trying and the form around him stacks right up. Strips fitter for a trial win in readiness and is drawn favourably for Fiore. Bold showing anticipated. MAUREEN'S ANGEL (8) was prominent from the outset on debut last start and held on well for second, beaten half a length, over this trip at Pinjarra. With natural improvement anticipated and from the gun draw, she gets a great chance to break through. WHITE HOT (6) returned last time and picked up nicely in the lane, only to just miss by a long neck over the 1000m Belmont Park. Strips fitter second-up and is one of the big hopes. MIND FIELD (3) raced once in the maiden preparation when sixth at this track over 1200m back on January 11. Has trialled well in readiness and gets the key booking of Pike. Have to take seriously. SUGGESTED PLAY: Common Touch gets the nod. |

REAL PUNTERS PLAY HERE TABTOUCH MAIDEN 1200m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large contingent of unraced runners. PARTAY (4) returns for Grant & Alana and gets the key booking of Pike. Showed good signs in his debut prep and looks up to the mark following a trial win at Lark Hill. Rates on top and is a great chance to break through. LEMMOR FILOU (10) is by the sire Rommel and from the stakes-winning mare Flying Affair. Chris Parnham takes the ride after the pair partnered successfully in a recent trial. MAURICE'S PRINCESS (7) looks next best of the race bunched and resumes from a spell of seven months. Couldn't keep up with them when thrown in the deep end in the LR Belgravia Stakes at Ascot but this is much easier and her trials in readiness suggest she's come back in good order. Anticipating a bright return. WESTERN MISS (12) is a three-year-old filly by Ghaiyyath on debut for the Grantham stable. Has a Lark Hill trial placing to her credit. Keep a close eye out for a positive market move. SUGGESTED PLAY: Partay to return a winner. |

ROOFWEST MAIDEN 1200m
No Comebacks and Nyra will settle forward and can set a moderate tempo. Pike on top again here with the resuming REMINISCENCE (2). Caught the eye with two strong chasing efforts from the back in his debut prep and looks to have come on nicely during the break, stripping fitter for two trials. Blinkers go on to sharpen him up and maps beautifully. ENCHANTED MISS (7) was beaten just a neck last start when fresh from a spell and landed her first top-three finish in the process at Albany over 1100m. Looks close to a win and shapes as a genuine threat. HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE (10) is a Pierro mare on debut for the Hunter camp. Won most recent trial and gets in well with the 2kg claim. Wary. FLAVOURSOME (6) returns and while she's found the maiden win elusive there's some solid performances sprinkled throughout her form. Will need a smart steer from out there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Reminiscence to win. |

PRINCE OF WALES HOTEL BUNBURY MAIDEN 1675m
Without a great deal of early pace evident Agent Remington may lead the way over Valid Point. LORD MOMO (3) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 1500m at Pinjarra. Peaking now and can get the job done. WHO'S TALKING (7) only warmed late over the mile last start at Pinjarra and did make some inroads. Draws closer this time and has a lot more to offer. C Parnham sticking is a good push. AGENT REMINGTON (4) hasn't done much wrong so far, just found a few better. Nearing his top now and finds a nice race to play a major role. SEA OF GALILEE (1) is knocking on the door but continues to leave himself with too much to do. If they are closer at the turn and the pace is genuine, he can reel them in late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lord Momo to win. |

Moderate tempo expected with Leg Godt likely to find the front over Vervain and Tasman Jewel. Pike finds himself another good booking in SASSY SNIPPET (13) who's heading the right way and is expected to prove tough to beat third-up after just missing at Pinjarra. Hitting her straps now and should be getting the job done. LADY MONEY TALK (14) returned last time with a solid second at Albany over 1240m. Bit tougher this time but she's got upside and should appreciate the rise in trip. LEG GODT (16) finished a close sixth last start over 1200m at Pinjarra, an improvement on her debut effort at Ascot the run prior. Is open to further improvement and keeps C Parnham piloting. Have to respect. TASMAN JEWEL (10) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when third over the mile at Albany. Drops back in trip but draws well again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sassy Snippet to win. |

WESCARPADE TEAM HALLOWEEN HANDICAP 1200m
Hot pace certain with Sunlit Fresco, Diego Dynamite and Incandescent Lady keen to take up the running. Suspect it's already been a big day for Pike, and the good times can roll on with POBLANO (2) who returns and looks to make it three on the bounce. Was unlucky to miss on debut back in December, otherwise it'd be four. Looks a handy type and she takes fitness from a Lark Hill trial placing. Great chance to bring up the hat-trick. EFFORTLESSLY (5) rattled home to arrive just in time two back. Couldn't quite repeat the dose as favourite last time but was still strong into second. Gets weight off with the claim and is drawn much kinder. Is sure to be very competitive. JELLYBEAN JONES (3) finished second when resuming two runs back at Albany then progressed nicely last time out to score comfortably at Albany. Is open to further improvement third-up and warrants following up. INCANDESCENT LADY (10) has good early speed and gets in light with the 3kg claimer on. Expect her to give her a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Poblano to win. |

Slick tempo with So Much Serenity to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. FRIAR'S LEGACY (1) finds the second win elusive but it certainly hasn't been without trying. Has been right there in his three runs back and gets another good chance to land a winning blow. The engagement of Chris Parnham is a positive move. SO MUCH SERENITY (9) went forward over 1300m at Northam last time and held on gamely for second. Will be looking to cross early from the wide alley and run them along. LADY KIKI (6) never really looked likely first-up at Pinjarra when racing keenly throughout. Fiore sticks second-up and is drawn much kinder. Willing to forgive. FLYING FLYNN (3) improved sharply second-up at Albany when arriving just in time in the slop at Albany. Is open to further improvement third-up but draws out again. Keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Friar's Legacy to win. |

SWAN DRAUGHT HANDICAP 1400m
Pace looks strong with Looks pushing forward from out wide along with Vomo Island in closer. LINCHPIN (6) arrived just in time to get the verdict two back over this trip and then went close to making it two on the trot last start. Has found form and gets in well at the weights. Can atone. POND MASTER (1) got too far back last time at Belmont Park but has been finding the line nicely prior against tougher opposition. Should find this a bit easier but does draw to get back again. Watch for him late if they roll along early. MISS ESPRIT (7) is yet to break through this prep but has turned in some strong performances. Was left with too much to do last time when dropping back to 1200m and is better suited back to this trip. OUR MATE ARCHIE (2) returns and gets the key booking of Pike, who will need to be at the top of his game from out there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Linchpin to win. |
