NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:52 DELUX LAUNDRY SERVICES MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
Only a small field with Soobring It likely to find a comfortable lead. LOQUITO (8) raced just off the speed but couldn't quicken as required in an 800m dash at Kilcoy last start. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and is far better placed out to today's journey. COSMIC ARC (5) was there on straightening but didn't quite finish the race off over 1100m at Ipswich last time out. Faces an easier assignment this time and coming back a little in distance helps. STAINLESS STEEL (3) is next best on a five-day turnaround. Big watch on the two debutants. MUSIC MAESTRO (1) ran second in his lone trial at Tamworth on December 22 where SHARE THE HONEY (6) finished just behind him.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Loquito can get away with this.
2 02:26 DUDDYS BUTCHERY MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400m
A keen contest with Vizstar and Gluttony leading from Star Of Kongo. SMALL FORTUNE (3) responded to a drop in grade last Saturday when beaten under a length over a similar trip to this at Bowraville, her first placing in five runs. Not much depth to this race so on a seven-day back-up she makes plenty of appeal. DIVINE ABBY (1) wasn't far away on debut two back at Kempsey then struggled on a heavy surface last time. In an easier maiden today and looks a great chance to make amends. GLUTTONY (4) has been racing well on the Queensland non-tab circuit, with six minor placings from nine starts. On a one-week turnaround and from a good gate should get every chance. VIZSTAR (10) registered his eighth minor placing last weekend at Bell. Top three chance with a similar effort here. Veteran STAR OF KONGO (9) resumes. Has been in the money twice when fresh from five attempts so keep him in mind.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Small Fortune.
3 03:02 REGIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK CLASS 2 PLATE 1400m
Genuine tempo from Eternity Star leading Celestial Bell. WARILLA GORILLA (6) is the obvious threat after a couple of strong efforts in Queensland recently, the latest a close fourth over 1350m at Ipswich last Saturday. Very fit and has more ability than most of these. EJAY'S FIREFOX (8) wasn't all that far away when fresh from a spell over 1200m at Warwick recently. Has won second-up before so with the light weight she comes right under notice. CELESTIAL BELL (7) found the 950m at Inverell on Boxing Day a bit slick at the first run back from a break. Fitter and more at home over today's journey. ETERNITY STAR (4) led all the way to win his maiden on a soft track at Wagga two back. Started favourite subsequently at Quirindi but did nothing. Might be a wet tracker but in this plain field he gets his chance to prove that wrong. POP QUIZ (5) missed by a lip at Quirindi last time. Major player over her pet distance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Back Eternity Star each way or Warilla Gorilla straight out.
4 03:42 ROBERTS & MORROW BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1200m
Este Dia and Western Conqueror possess good early speed. ESTE DIA (5) led all the way for a big first-up win at Chinchilla then tried to repeat the feat over today's trip at Beaudesert last start but was swamped late. Rock hard fit now and a clever claim brings him in beautifully. Will give them something to catch. DUBIOUS SIX (7) has been struggling to make his mark of late, albeit in better races than this. On a seven-day back-up and reunites with Kelsey Lenton who gets the best out of this gelding. Worth another chance. SHUT EYE (4) wasn't suited dropping back to 1050m at Inverell last start and was never a factor. Twice a winner at this distance. Perfectly graded to return to form. PURPLE ESPRIT (3) has been kept fresh since a decent fourth over 1100m at Armidale five weeks ago. Honest mare who should be about the money again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen to be with Este Dia.
5 04:22 GLEN INNES SERVICES CLUB GLEN INNES CUP BENCHMARK 74 HANDICAP 1400m
Expecting Accrue to take up the running with Intoxel and Capo Strada close at hand.  Competitive renewal of the Glen Innes Cup. UNLEASH (9) brings the right form to the race. Closed strongly to get up for second last start in open company over this distance at Chinchilla. Four-time winner at the trip who gets the perfect run out of gate two. Looks the one to beat with just 55kgs. GIDDAY GIDDAY (8) had been racing in great heart then endured a horrific five-wide run at Toowoomba last time and understandably dropped out. Kelsey Lenton has four wins and four placings on the mare from ten rides and is back on today. Can turn things around. ACCRUE (10) made a welcomed return to form last start when beaten under a length over 1450m at Quirindi. Up in class but drops a massive 9kgs which brings him into discussions. HE'S A COPY BOY (11) did a good job to finish a close fourth at Inverell recently when coming off a 32-day let-up. Back in trip which suits. Right in the mix. CAPO STRADA (1) will race handy and give backers a sight.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Unleash to take out the feature.
6 05:01 MAXIMUS NEW ENGLAND NORTH BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m
Plenty of speed with Ellati, Prucia and Toyger leading Outta De Lady and Koondeeman. ELLATI (9) returned from a six-month spell with a respectable fourth over 950m at Moree last start. Started poorly which didn't help but stuck to the task and was only beaten 1.1 lengths. Perfectly placed to put the record straight. INATICK (1) went back from a wide alley then closed late to finish just 2.2 lengths away when resuming over this distance at Dalby last time. Finds a far easier assignment today and has placed three from three when second-up so his credentials are hard to fault. POWERSTONE (7) followed a tough first-up win with a disappointing performance at Inverell on New Year's Day. Four-time winner at this distance so worth another chance. TOYGER (3) dominated over this distance at Kempsey two back then found 800m a bit slick at Ipswich last time. Just needs luck from a wide gate to be competitive. MISS INDI (10) hasn't been far off them at her last couple. Doesn't win often but worth throwing in exotics.  SUGGESTED PLAY: This looks a nice race for Ellati.
