NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:09 Fred Vella Tyre & Crash Repair Handicap 1600m
A solid tempo on the cards with Bamyan Buddha leading the way. I CATCHEM FOX (2) has been in stellar form of late and can keep the ball rolling, after scoring well here last time. A key scratching makes him the clear top pick. MELLIFLUENT (6) is knocking on the door and gets some good weight off for this. Toeroek sticks and he looks a genuine threat. SURPRISE COMING (5) continues to threaten but has just lacked the winning blow. Drops back to the mile and is in the mix again but needs to find a bit more. BAMYAN BUDDHA (1) is a tough gelding but will likely find it a bit too hard under the big weight. Worth keeping safe in exotics thought. Even BOLT BY (4) not entirely without hope having posted consecutive wins in November.  SUGGESTED PLAY: I Catchem Fox to win again.
2 01:44 Thomas Farms Handicap 1100m
O'tycoon should have enough pace to lead a low-pressure contest. SIR NOW (1) has proved troublesome of late but finds a nice race to get things back on track. Was a complete forgive on November 22 when going amiss on a soft deck. Trialled sharply leading into a run on December 27 but was scratched at the gates. Drops back to 1100m off 49 days. Suggest he has the class edge and will have no trouble under the big weight. ENUFF SEDUCTION (7) has returned in terrific form this campaign and gets his chance to bring up the hat-trick. Gets in low at the weights with the 3kg claimer sticking. Sure to be very competitive. WIGGUM (4) was a smart winner at headquarters fresh and has had excuses in tougher races. Goes up in weight but is a handy type. Don't underestimate. GREAT MAXIMUS (2) is a talented gelding resuming for the smart R & C Jolly yard. Gets in well with the claim and should make his presence felt but might find this a touch sharp. WINNING REVOLUTION (6) isn't doing much wrong and doesn't need to improve a great deal to be in the finish.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sir Now to win. Saving on Wiggum.
3 02:19 Sportsbet Same Race Multi Maiden Plate 1100m
Carpe Astra, Bardigrub and Cathay Express to match motors but there will be other pressure. CARPE ASTRA (8) was well supported on debut behind what looks a smart one in Tobikko, where she raced greenly in front and just tired late. Her work in readiness to her debut was top notch. Suggest we see a more polished effort this time. BARDIGRUB (7) had the better of Cape Astra when going down a head to Tobikko. Peaking now third-up and meets Carpe Astra better with the 3kg claimer engaged, so expect her to be very competitive. LOSEYATOETOE (11) missed the bob at long odds on debut at headquarters two weeks ago. Is sure to have come on from that and deserves more respect this time. CATHAY EXPRESS (9) stuck on soundly into third behind Loseyatoetoe, after showing good speed. Better for that and is in the mix. SIMPLY SID (4) will appreciate the hot tempo and be doing his best work late. Keep in mind.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Carpe Astra to win.
4 02:59 Kookaburra Homes Handicap 2000m
Pace only fair with Capulet rolling to the lead ahead of Coorong Tycoon and Back Me Up Benny. COORONG TYCOON (2) left himself with too much to do last time at Gawler but did pick up strongly late. Backs up quickly and is unbeaten over this track and trip from two runs. Peaking now and is the one to beat. CAPULET (1) hasn't won for a long time but is ticking along nicely and should give another bold sight in front. Could steal it if left alone. NO RUMOURS (5) was no match for the winner first-up at the Bool but was a flashing light late. Will appreciate the added trip and gets a key booking in Opperman. Don't take lightly. FULL OF COURAGE (3) was strong through the line last time at headquarters. Will drift back again from the draw but should appreciate the added trip and can cause a late scare. Similar story for ALAINGE (7), who is a more than capable mare on her day and backs up quickly after catching the eye at Gawler.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Coorong Tycoon to win.
5 03:39 Sportsbet More Places Handicap 1400m
Solid tempo headed by Cork Harbour and Cielao. FLOREY (7) has returned in career best form and has more to offer third-up after just missing last time. Gun hoop Toeroek sticks and she should just blend into the race perfectly from the middle draw. Top pick. CIELAO (3) is a mare in great touch, and the form around her is superb. Expect her to have a tougher time of it in front this time but gets in well with the claim and is sure to be right there at the business end again. Can't knock. RUBINI (9) returned with a great effort here behind Arcandam, who has since won again. Gets in low at the weights and is boasts a good record over this track and trip. Strong each-way hope. SECOND FIX (6) made good ground in the run home to finish a close sixth in a blanket finish. Is sure to have come on from that and will take some stopping if settles closer. CAPTAIN JOOLIAN (1) comes in fresh after a good win on the Parks track. This looks a bit tough for him but he can sneak into a placing.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Florey to win.
6 04:19 Magic Millions 2026 7th March Handicap 1600m
Solid tempo anticipated with Oldpop and Saint Boom pressing forward with Lady Zelda not far away. GARCON RENARD (2) was a barnstorming winner here fresh and since followed it up with some solid efforts, without winning. Returns to the scene of the crime and gets in well with the 1.5kg claim. Doesn't need to improve much to win again. SMOTHER (1) arrived just in time to get the bob and shed his maiden tag when resuming at Gawler. The form around him has stacked up superbly in 28 days, with 3 subsequent winners already. This is tougher but draws well and has Toeroek piloting. Have to take seriously. SPIRIT OF FLIGHT (10) was too bad to be true last time here when always well back. Gets the chance to settle much closer this time and gets 4kgs off on the quick back-up. Can improve sharply. ROYAL SCRIPTURE (3) knuckled down strongly to arrive right on cue to get the verdict last time. Can keep the ball rolling now and is in the mix. LADY ZELDA (9) caught the eye at the latest. Will be charging hard late again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Garcon Renard to win.
7 04:57 Carlton Draught Handicap 1000m
Genuine pace with Bristler and Caladan going forward, along with The Gov. CALADAN (6) is a progressive gelding for the sharp R & C Jolly stable. Just missed here fresh but is sure to be better with that run under his belt. Is the one to beat. ARABELLA STAR (11) made a mess of her rivals at the latest, when clearly a class above. Only needs to hold her form to give this a shake but will likely get a long way back from the draw. Watch for her launching late. BRISTLER (4) has returned to career-best form and is sure to give himself every chance again in front. Will take some catching if left alone. DAISYDOO (7) was good here fresh when missing by a long neck. Tougher this time but relishes this trip and is worth including.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Caladan to win.
8 05:33 Fore Design & Flex Planning Handicap 1200m
Expecting a modest tempo established by Fluttering Ruby who can cross from the outside draw. DAMELLI (12) owned a barnstorming win at headquarters to launch into this prep. Hasn't quite gone on with it but gets in low at the weights and should relish the 1200m. Bold showing anticipated. PURFECT LINE (3) was slightly disappointing when resuming but should come on with that run under his belt and does boast a strong second-up record. Drawn well and can give this a big shake if presented on song. FLUTTERING RUBY (1) has enjoyed a successful start to her career and went better than the form suggests last start. Drawn poorly but has Milnes to pilot again. Don't dismiss. NARALINGA (2) doesn't win out of turn but is knocking on the door and should enjoy a beautiful run in-transit from the low draw. Kept fresh and can play a major role.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Damelli to win.
