TAB We're On 1600m
Theology can take up the running at a strong tempo. Genuine tempo with Theology likely to find himself in front. JENNI GONE BONKERS (1) looks the one to beat again. Her only miss this time in came in Listed company and she still ran very well, atoning with a good win at Pakenham last time out under a smart Jett Stanley ride. Back to her own age group now, Zahra takes over and she's a deserving favourite. FLYING DONE (2) has struck a purple patch of form, backing up the easy maiden win with another three-length victory at Sandown Lakeside when last seen. He lands on speed again and should take some catching. OUR CHIEF (6) stuck on well for third on resumption at Cranbourne after racing wide. He did bolt in with his maiden second up last time in and has the ability to measure up. THEOLOGY (4) won well on debut and isn't hopeless with natural improvement. FALSET STAR (5) has been good in two runs back and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Jenni Gone Bonkers to win. |

Honouring Our Jockeys Plate 2000m
Wolfess to roll forward and dictate terms. TRAPALANDA (8) was only second up when chasing Touchdown home there and meets him 6kg better off at the weights. That's significant and he'll relish 2000m but fancy the winner has even more to offer. WOLFESS (10) is going great guns of late, just run down late her past couple. She does no work here and should be right there. SUN GIFT (9) was a tough winner second up at Cranbourne and can go on with it while POLITELY DUN (7) is going well and can be flying late. STYLISH SECRET (5) showed good improvement second up. Has a sense of timing third run from a spell and getting out to the ten furlong journey. SUGGESTED PLAY: Trapalanda win bet. |

Jockey Celebration Sprint 1100m
Solid tempo with Esha, Rosangela and Military Tycoon going hard, closely attended by Breakfast. Tricky little race. ESHA (1) resumes. She made waves with two fast wins over 1000m which saw her thrown in the deep end in a G1 Moir Stakes at her third ever start, sent out a $6.50 chance. She had a few issues there and can be forgiven for the pre-spell miss, if she's back to her best she'll be very hard to catch but 60kg and 1100m are niggles. Wary of MILITARY TYCOON (2) who resumes. Her fresh win in the G3 Ottawa Stakes here last time in was very good and she was hardly disgraced in a Golden Slipper or Percy Sykes (behind Tempted) her next couple. JENNI THE NINJA (8) won in good time on debut at Pakenham over 1000m and can only improve. She should measure up. CONSCIENCE (6) resumes having shown good ability. She's right in the mix ahead of ROSANGELA (12) who won her maiden well last time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Military Tycoon & Jenni The Ninja to roll Esha. |

Off The Track Trophy 1800m
A few sit handy but there won't be a great deal of early pressure. SUNTORA (2) is flying of late having won two on the bounce impressively before a narrow defeat at Cranbourne in a messy finish. Up to a BM78 here but it doesn't look any harder and she gets Zahra aboard from a soft gate. MISS PLAYLOUNGE (4) can mix her form but showed her true colours with a dominant performance at Cranbourne over 1600m last time out, running on strongly from well back to score by 2.25 lengths. She should relish 1800m on the big track here. I ONLY WISH (7) is another that can mix her form, well beaten last time without luck behind Miss Playlounge as a $3.20 hope having run very well behind the smart Jenni Gone Bonkers (in R1) prior. She can bounce back. SEAFALL (3) has been solid to the line in two runs back and should be ready to peak now. EXPEETEE (1) has won two of her past three and will run honestly. SUGGESTED PLAY: Suntora to win. |

National Jockeys Trust Trophy 1600m
Genuine tempo with Slane and Extreme Virtue pressing for the lead. EXTREME VIRTUE (5) should be at peak fitness here and will give a bold sight. Three runs this time in have been rock solid, trying hard but being held up when setting it up for those further back at Cranbourne. She draws ideally here and will be in front for a long way. WATERSPORTS (12) appreciated the step up to 1500m at Cranbourne with a determined win in this class, getting the verdict by a head. She can track the pace again here and make it a double. MOMETZ (10) didn't have the best of luck behind a smart one at Sandown Lakeside and looks ideally placed going to a mile on the big track now. OTAGO (4) was better last time in a bunched finish. His best would win this but he's had issues. HIS FINEST HOUR (11) tried hard here behind a well-ridden winner last start and has claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Extreme Virtue on top. |

Jockey Assistance Program Sprint 1000m
Cavalry Girl is expected to lead at a slick tempo. Big weight for GALLANT SON (1) but he's deserving of it. Narrow second placings to Alabama Lass (subsequent G1 placed) and Reserve Bank (subsequent G1 winner) last time in read very well for this BM70 contest. Pozman is a capable apprentice and takes 3kg off and class will take him a fair way. CHERGUI (14) has post-race issues two back but bounced back with a good run at Cranbourne when beaten by the in form Steel Move. Back to 1000m here but she doesn't lack speed and Melham sticks. EXPRESS CLASS (8) resumes for his second campaign. He beat a handy one on debut and was solid in a pair of Group races before the break. Wary. CAVALRY GIRL (13) is a speedy horse, arguably the most suited of these at 1000m. She'll give a huge sight. RUNLIKENENCRYPTION (7) was a narrow winner last time and could measure up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Gallant Son to win. |

Henry Byron Moore Handicap 1600m
Keen tempo headed by Roadcone. KNOBELAS (12) looks well placed to bounce back to winning ways here. She's a progressive mare who dashed very well to win first up, just failing to reel in a well-ridden leader at Caulfield Heath last time out. The market has a huge opinion of her and she's clearly the one to beat down on 54kg. SNEAKY SUNRISE (7) is racing very well. She was too strong at Ballarat before a sound effort as favourite last time, 1800m perhaps seeing her out there. Back to a mile suits. ROADCONE (3) beat Knobelas last time out. He performs best when fit and able to roll along in front. Imagine similar tactics here but it'll be a long Flemington straight. HIYAAM PROUD (8) is knocking on the door but this is a tough race and place money might be best again. WELCOMETOTHESHOW (10) narrowly beat Hiyaam Proud last time and is in the mix once more. SUGGESTED PLAY: Knobelas to win. |

Standish Handicap 1200m
Expecting Celsius Star to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. Onto our feature of the day and HEDGED (5) does look the one to beat. He was a bit disappointing as favourite in the Meteorite at Cranbourne two back but bounced back with a dominant 2.5 length win in the Xmas Stakes on Boxing Day. Seems to have found his groove for the Bedggood yard and and will take beating again. The class of the field is MAHARBA (1) who has to lug the 60kg. He didn't really fire last time in but tackled some hot races at G1 level. This is more his go and remember he was unlucky not to beat an airborne Overpass in The Quokka last year. AVIATRESS (3) is a ripper mare. She got the bob over Boston Rocks two back which ties in with Hedged, third to that horse in the Xmas Stakes last time. She'll be right there again. AZTEC RULER (4) is a WA sprinter with form around the top Perth horses as well as Rey Magnerio who would be favourite in this. Wary. SAMANGU (8) can improve up to 1200m but needs to. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hedged to win. |

Victorian Jockeys Association Trophy 1200m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Ikasara. Tough race. BEHAVIOUR (10) looks suited getting to 1200m third up. He's been getting too far back over 1000m but did hit the line strongly last time at Sandown Lakeside to be beaten just a long neck. The wide draw down the straight should suit nicely. RUE DE ROYALE (1) notched up his second career win over this route last time out, surging clear along the inside fence on New Year's Eve to score narrowly. He might be able to go on with it. TANGANYIKA (11) comes over from New Zealand, now with team Hayes. He's a handy sort suited this level, watch the late betting. MYTEMPTATION (3) is consistent without winning, good in this grade at Caulfield Heath last time. He should give a sight. MERCURIAL LADY (12) dropped back to this trip at Sandown Lakeside and proved too tough. She can prove hard to get by once more. SUGGESTED PLAY: Behaviour on top. |

George Watson Handicap 1400m
Genuine tempo with Fear No Evil and Porter up front. HOT DIGITY BOOM (13) ran well first up at Sandown Lakeside over 1200m, getting home late for fourth. 1400m suits now and his best 3yo form would take some beating here. LEGACY BAY (14) has placed in all three runs back from a spell, getting home late again to just miss at Sandown Lakeside last start. She gets in light here and will be winding up out wide. PORTER (4) will be up on speed and is racing well. 1400m is his best trip. FEAR NO EVIL (3) is going okay in NSW and should give a sight. Race has some decent depth to it. KAHHOF (1) stuck on solidly under a big weight at Sandown on Boxing Day. NARBOLD (2) resumes. Will be better up over a mile however can't ignore his consistency. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hot Digity Boom straight out. |
