NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:39 TABTOUCH - WESTSPEED PLATINUM HANDICAP 1600m
Impressive Jewel has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. IMPRESSIVE JEWEL (4) led all the way to score at Pinjarra just over 2 weeks ago and was beaten in Stakes company here before that. She is down in weight, up in confidence and can win again. TOUSLED CROWN (6) let down strongly to score over a mile at Pinjarra in lesser company on the same day as the top pick and will be hoping for another genuine pace to be set in this race as well. Look for her late. Each way. GINGERQUEST (10) has raced his way into form in the country at Albany, and though up in class here, he will have the services of William Pike, which is a strong lead. Stick with him. Each way value. CLASSIC IMPACT (9) had an excuse last time out and is worth another chance on a relatively quick 9-day back up. Include in all combinations. LOVA SESSION (3) will find this easier than her last couple of starts and is not the worst at odds.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Gingerquest each-way.
2 01:19 MAGIC MILLIONS PLATE 1100m
No surprise if the first starters played a key role in the tempo of the race with little speed on paper. DAWN DANCER (1) looks to be a very progressive juvenile and was game in defeat here on debut about 3 months ago. He has won another trial at Lark since then and should be naturally improved for his second career run. Hard to beat this time. LUZ DEL SOL (5) ran on late over 1100m here 7 weeks ago from a wide gate, and with a nice swing in her draw here, she can figure in the top 3 at only her third career start. LUNAR SPARK (7) is another juvenile who has been showing promise at the trials and will have a handy draw for her debut. The market will be the best guide, but she can't be taken lightly. THEY'REALLSISTERS (10) has the ace draw for her debut, and William Pike picks up the ride, which is always a strong lead. Follow the market in whichever way it goes.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Dawn Dancer can win this.
3 01:57 MRS MAC'S HANDICAP 1000m
Solid tempo set by Pin Deep and Tycoon Harry. AMAROO STAR (6) is a promising gelding that made progress as a 3-year-old and resumed with a game neck win here 9 days ago. This is only slightly tougher, and William Pike keeps the faith. Hard to beat again, especially with a kilo less to carry. TYCOON HARRY (4) hit his stride third up here a month ago and led all the way to score by nearly 3 lengths. He loves 1000m and will again take some pegging back. PIN DEEP (1) is not as effective on this track as he has been on other circuits, but he has still been placed twice from 8 starts and was less than 2 lengths from the winner when fifth here 9 days ago. Stick with him for all top 4 combos. SIMPLY THINKIN' (2) won 3 of her 6 starts last prep, and she has won a tune-up trial last month to help her get ready for her return. She has the pole position and has to be respected. SONOFTHEBOSS (3) will have the blinkers off this time, and he was only run down late here 4 weeks ago over 1200m. Stick with him.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Amaroo Star can win again.
4 02:37 GLENROY CHAFF PLATE 1400m
Reasonable tempo with Morf probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. WESTERN ACE (2) ran on powerfully to finish third on debut at Pinjarra, and then improved again off that run to win comfortably here 3 weeks ago. He stays at 1400m, which is a query, but if the pace is genuine up front, then he and William Pike can have the last say again. MAJOR FLIRT (1) flipped his form on its head when winning here 3 weeks ago over 1200m, paying odds of 50/1. He won't be at that sort of money here but will again be looking for gaps and charging home late. Stick with him. REMINISCENCE (8) ran on stoutly for second on debut at Pinjarra 15 days ago and will be suited by the extra furlong second up. There is more depth to this field, but he has scope and can figure in the top 3 again. BEAU'S A LAD (3) was back in form at Pinjarra 10 days ago when finishing second. He can hold that form now and is a top 4 chance again. TORA BORA (10) built nicely to a well-deserved maiden win at Pinjarra 15 days ago. She is bred to improve with time and won't be far away in this.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Western Ace can repeat the dose.
5 03:14 HAPPY 80TH SEAN TWOMEY HANDICAP 2200m
Pace looks to be genuine with Armino and Grand Reserve matching motors in advance of Iowa and Royal Splendour. AUDIO BOY (7) has not won for some time and was third here at this level 4 weeks ago over 1800m. He should be strong enough to handle 2200m now, and with William Pike back in the saddle, he gets a good chance to break his win drought. LONG GENES (9) has been mixing his form and did have a genuine excuse for being beaten in a strong field at Geraldton a fortnight ago. He is at his best when the pace is strong up front, and with a run to suit, he is more than capable of taking this out. STARWALKER (11) has been building up his fitness and steps up to 2200m for the first time this prep, which is a distance that he is unbeaten at in 2 starts. He is down in weight, and a sound top 4 chance here. GRAND RESERVE (3) is capable on his day, and KISSES FROM KELLY (2) is back in form. Include both of them in all combinations in an even contest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Audio Boy each-way value.
6 03:50 VALE GERARD PATTERSON HANDICAP 1400m
Pace strong with Lord Gannicus and Dug Another Hole leading with Timeless Gem nearby. TIMELESS GEM (5) won in this grade over 1200m here 4 weeks ago, and he will still be on the up with his fitness at his third run back from a spell. He is up 2kg in weight, but that should not be enough to stop him from winning again. CASHEL PALACE (6) dropped in class and unleashed a big run to finish all over the top of her rivals here 9 days ago. She drops 3kg and is capable of another big run. Stick with her on an each-way basis. SILVER EYE (3) has not won for some time, and has also yet to win on this track, but he has been placed on 4 occasions. He has a good gate and can figure in the top 4. LORD GANNICUS (1) resumes from a spell and is likely to need the run, but his class can't be ignored. Include to be safe. DUG ANOTHER HOLE (8) finds it hard to win, but is racing well, and he has not missed a cheque in 7 starts here, including a win. He is down in weight and should also be included in all top 4 combos.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Timeless Gem each-way.
7 04:26 MORLEY GROWERS MARKET HANDICAP 1200m
Lucky I Am to take charge ahead of Chino La Diva at a solid tempo. ALL GRUNT (1) made progress last season and was placed 3 times in a row at Stakes level. He is unbeaten fresh up from a spell, and with 2 trials under his belt, he will be hard to hold out here. Check the market moves. LUCKY I AM (7) set the pace and was claimed late fresh up when finishing runner-up by a nose and then weakened to finish eighth here 3 weeks ago. This is easier, and from a good gate, he will be spot on to take them all the way. DE GRANDHOMME (3) has carried through his winning form at Geraldton to a game win by a nose here just over 3 weeks ago. This is tougher, but he has a better gate and can figure in the top 4 again. Each-way value. MANHATTAN STRIP (2) is fresh up and comes to hand quickly, so include him in all combos along with SHOOTING SPIRIT (8), who is due to find some form again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: All Grunt can win this.
8 05:02 MISS ANDRETTI STAKES 1100m
From the inside gate Richanco should show enough dash to hold the lead, with pressure from Sinful Living. MADHI GIRL (6) went huge during a winter campaign, and has returned without missing a beat, scoring fresh up by a head here 9 days ago in the Summer Scorcher Stakes over 1000m, taking her winning streak to 4 on the bounce. William Pike sticks with her, and so do we. RICHANCO (11) finished third behind the top pick in the same race at his second run back from a spell. He will be peaking for this, and with the aid of the pole position, he should go close to taking this out, especially with only 54kg to carry again. WIND AND THE LION (5) resumes from a spell that would have done him the world of good. He was good enough to win at this level in July, and even without a trial, he is expected to sprint well fresh up. Check the markets. SINFUL LIVING (12) is closing in on another win and CUT THE TALK (7) is capable at this level on his best day. Include both in all top 4 combos.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Madhi Girl is the one to beat again.
9 05:39 MCA POLYTRACK HANDICAP 1400m
They should run this along with Great Fortune and Stylish Lord taking it up over Divine Inanna. RETURN OF THE MACH (12) is a progressive mare who won fresh up at Bunbury, before rattling home too late for third here 4 weeks ago over 1200m. The extra furlong third up is the key, and with a soft run assured from the pole position, she can have the last say this time. SNIPPY SEAN (11) will be peaking third up from a spell, and was game in defeat off a wide gate when finishing in the money here 3 weeks ago. The step up to 1400m will suit him, and he has each-way claims again. STYLISH LORD (2) strips fitter second up, and can be a sharp improver, and RALLY THE TROOPS (5) is a last start lesser class winner, who won't be overawed by this company. Don't risk either of them.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Return Of The Mach will be hard to hold out.
