MERCURE KOOINDAH WATERS 2YO HANDICAP 1200m
Plenty of unraced runners engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a genuine tempo. ROYAL EXILE (5) King's Legacy gelding who was in crunched in betting on debut when he swept down the outside for a dominant victory over 1000m at Taree. Comes straight to town now and can play a leading role again in this much tougher contest. GOLD GLOBE (3) Farnan gelding from Rubaiya on debut for the David Payne yard. Showed ability in the two trials and no surprise to see him take this out at the good each way price. PROTON (4) Zousain colt from the good producing mare Erin's Element on debut for the Waterhouse & Bott yard. Latest trial here was strong and gets his chance from the inside draw. AUDIT (2) King's Legacy colt from Flaunting on debut for the Les Bridge stable. Fitted with the three trials and has slim place claims at best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Royal Exile and Gold Globe can fight it out. |

TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP 1100m
Expecting a strong tempo over this journey. ALL ADORE (12) improving filly from the Nick Olive yard who jumps a few grades today from the sticky draw. Returned excellent figures when she gave them a galloping lesson over 1000m at Sapphire Coast as fav in slick time. Gets in light with the claim and can measure up if she gets across early. LADY OLENNA (10) underrated mare fourth-up for this after catching the eye in this class at all three runs. Will appreciate the good tempo with Nock's claim. Leading each way player. MOVE SHE CAN (11) has returned a much stronger mare and starting to build a tidy winning CV. Stalked the speed when saluting as fav over 1150m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Has further upside to come and gets map favours. MISS REBEL (3) good second-up performer back in top shape after shouldering the 60kg when second over 1150m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Sure to be thereabouts. LYRICAL BEAUTY (17) can measure up to these with the big weight drop. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 12,10,11,3. |

BRONTE SIMPSON MEMORIAL MIDWAY HANDICAP 1600m
Forecaster should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. OAKFIELD SATURN (7) proven on her home track and the blinkers go on for the first time. Took good ground off the progressive The Mona Lisa when fourth over this trip at Randwick with the 57kg. Well weighted with Roper's claim and can take up a position from the wide draw. Genuine top-three prospect. PERFECT JUSTICE (9) on the quick backup after covering ground in the run when ninth over the mile at Randwick last Saturday. Gets map favours here and can bounce back. CHARLEROI (4) trained here and ready to peak after he knocked up late when third over 1600m at Randwick in BM78 class. Well drawn and will prove hard to hold out. CAPE BYRON (1) goes well at this track and will push forward with Grima's 3kg claim. Don't underestimate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Oakfield Saturn each way. |

WYONG EQUINE CLINIC BENCHMARK 88 HANDICAP 2100m
Lennox, Redstone Well and Claim The Crown can set up a solid gallop. SOUNDS UNUSUAL (8) should get the desired tempo today as he stretches out to this trip for the first time, third-up. Launched late from back in the field when second over 1600m at Randwick. Senior rider goes on and can race closer from the draw. Has solid top-three claims. UNLIMITED (4) talented gelding who had the race parcelled up topping the rise when a decisive 2.5 len winner over 2000m at Randwick. Should cope with the weight rise and expected to go close. ELLIPTICAL (3) set to peak at his fourth run back and meets Unlimited better at the weights. Can roll forward with the claim and not to be underestimated. LET'S FLY (9) gets another chance on the limit at the each way price. LENNOX (6) has won out to 2200m and must be kept safe fourth-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Expecting the Waller trio to fight it out. |

CENTRAL COAST COMMUNITY NEWS BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP 1200m
Genuine tempo with No Drama and Mogo Magic up front. FIRST LANDING (10) slow into stride and launched late with a respectable seventh over 1200m at Randwick in Highway class. Looks up this stiffer contest with the big weight drop, third-up. Placed at this level last time in and shapes as the value play in the race. MOGO MAGIC (2) kept fresh after failing to run the 1550m out when a tiring ninth at Canterbury on December 12. Blinkers go on and will give them something to catch with Stanley's 3kg claim. Each way. MAILATA (8) frustrating gelding who gets the addition of blinkers for the first time here. Can sit off the good tempo and execute late with Nock's claim. HUON (5) holding his form and gets a much better set up today from the low gate. Worth thought. HANAU (4) good second-up performer who will be strong late. SUGGESTED PLAY: First Landing each way. |

LAWRIE MCKINNA MAYOR'S CUP F&M BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP 1100m
Kimberley Secrets, Petticoat and Beside The Ocean to match motors but there will be other pressure. PETTICOAT (5) big jump in grade off the let-up when a fading fifth over this trip at Randwick. Strips fitter and has the speed to cruise across from the draw. Genuine top-three chance. KIMBERLEY SECRETS (3) tough mare who retains her zest for racing. Races best with her runs spaced and looks suited around the tight Wyong track despite drawing out. Respect. BESIDE THE OCEAN (11) returned for her second campaign with a gritty nose victory over 1000m at Randwick in BM64 class. Has further improvement to come and stays in the mix. HEAT MISSILE (9) lightly raced mare resuming with the two trials. Raced in stakes grade last prep and must be kept safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 5,3,11. |

DE BORTOLI WINES 3&4YO BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP 1300m
Speed should be right on over the 1300m journey. SHELSTEIN (7) has impressed in two runs back and a win looks imminent. Closed late from the good draw when a narrow third over 1200m at Randwick in BM78 class. Key jockey change in this weaker race and expected to go close. BELLA CORAZON (10) another from the Archibald yard who can quickly return to form at her fourth run. Snagged back from the wide gate and failed to get into the contest when eighth over 1400m at Randwick in a F&M BM78. Can stalk the speed and take holding out. SEQUISTA (13) up in class off the Maiden win when found wanting late to run third over this trip at Randwick. At her top now and gets her chance with Nock's claim. COUGARS (8) scored a well deserved victory at Randwick in Highway class over the 1200m and can be competitive again from the draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shelstein and Bella Corazon can fight it out. |

DOMELAND WYONG TOWN PLATE BENCHMARK 100 HANDICAP 1350m
In the small field Whinchat and Accredited are expected to take up the running. WHINCHAT (4) kept fresh and will take catching around this tight track second-up. Had excuses from the wide barrier first-up with the 59kg and since fitted with a Rosehill trial placing over 1030m. Solid winning chance. ACCREDITED (1) lobbed into the box seat and failed to close off when a disappointing fourth over 1300m in the LR Lough Neagh Stakes at Eagle Farm. Drops back a level for this and the winkers go on from the inside gate. No shock to see him return to form. SPACE TRACKER (6) kept fresh and back in trip after having a successful prep in Queensland. Saves his best for this distance range and comes here at the top of his game. Value player. CAVALIER CHARLES (9) tenacious gelding who returns from a let-up after giving his all with the 61k.5kg when a narrow second in the Snakegully Cup at Gundagai. Huge weight drop and not to be overlooked. THUNDERLIPS (3) capable on his day and some of his best form is second-up. Exotic prospect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Whinchat will prove hard to run down. |

LIMITLESS LODGE LAKES MILE 1600m
Solid tempo likely from Amor Victorious and Robusto. KNOW THYSELF (3) exciting gelding who won The Coast last May defeating Depth Of Character and Mare Of Mount Buller when sitting on the speed. Undefeated in three second-up runs and he gets the right setup today as he gets to his preferred distance. Hard to stop. COLLECT YOUR CASH (10) will push forward and comes here in peak condition fourth-up. Drops in weight and brings the right profile in this tougher contest. Each way. MARE OF MT BULLER (7) three weeks between runs when she rounded them up with ease over 1600m at Randwick. Will be snagged back from the draw and be saved for one final crack at them. Keep safe. SUN GOD (12) deep into the prep and don't let him slip under the guard. Raced without luck when fourth in the small field over 1600m at Randwick. No shock to see him finish over the top of these. AMOR VICTORIOUS (2) comes back from Queensland after scoring a gritty win in the LR Members Mile at Eagle Farm. Stays in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Know Thyself ticks plenty of boxes. |

ASAHI GROUP BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP 1350m
A solid tempo anticipated with Elson Boy and Puntin ahead of Bojangles and Flying Thinker. PUNTIN (4) resumes and races best early in the campaign. Stretched out in trip last time in and looks suited around this course with his good on-pace profile. Wasn't pushed out in his two trials and finds a winnable race. BOJANGLES (8) undefeated on his home track and gets a much better run today. Deep into the prep and due for a change of luck. ALTHOFF (7) ready to win after two slashing runs this time in. Key jockey change and look for her to swoop late. FLYING THINKER (13) went out quickly and folded up in the straight when ninth over 1400m at Randwick. Can get cover from the draw and worth another chance. ELSON BOY (1) tough old gelding who will sit on the speed and give a ton of cheek. SUGGESTED PLAY: Puntin and Bojangles can fight it out. |
