COMMERCIAL HOTEL | KENNARDS HIRE MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
Not a great deal of pressure likely in the small field, with Mishpat a potential leader. THE BULLET (3) improved run when up in trip for a narrow second over 1700m at Wellington. Senior rider hops aboard and the blinkers come off and the side blinker goes on. Back to his preferred trip and no excuses today. FIERCE LUVA (5) three-year-old gelding by Fierce Impact out of Luvaluva on debut for the Robb yard. Unplaced in all four trials at Randwick. Must respect with the claim from the low draw. NORTOKO (6) went forward early and struggled in the straight when seventh over 1600m at Dubbo. Gets a better set-up here and place prospects look best. FLAMEON (7) returns from a let-up after covering ground early and dropping out sharply when fifth over 1600m at Orange. Was slow to recover on that occasion and deserves another chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Bullet can get the job done. |

MCPHERSONS PARTS & SERVICE MEMPHIS MILE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1600m
Plenty of pressure primarily from Hutt Street, Different Road and Beg Me. INCANTATA (6) finished fourth two runs back at Canberra then improved last time out when a slick winner over 1460m at Queanbeyan. Must raise the bar but this looks well within her grasp. BILL PEYTO (5) tough old gelding who gets weight relief again on the backup. Big jump in class and trip when a plugging sixth over 2100m at Orange. This is his pet distance, and he can find the winners' list. HASIME (9) back in form after running on at her last two outings over this trip. Well drawn again with the claim and expected to figure prominently. NAPOLI (11) well drawn for this and assess on his good third at Cowra three runs back. Deep into the prep and stays in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Incantata can get the job done again. |

PARKES COURIER SERVICE | PFD FOODS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400m
The pace looks very strong with plenty of speed engaged. IN THE NIC OF TIME (1) improving gelding due for a change of luck. Finds an easier contest today after shouldering the 62.5kg when a tenacious second over 1460m at Queanbeyan. Billy Owen stays aboard and likely to sit off them with cover from the awkward gate. Go close. VASTLY (2) big improver at his second career start when he rolled forward for a slick victory over 1300m at Dubbo. Among the top chances again with Neale's claim. WE SHALL OVERCOME (6) in a leading Canberra yard and she gets a much better setup here. Covered ground from the wide gate when she gripped on late to finish fourth over 1000m at Queanbeyan. Can finish much closer today. FIRST CLASS BABY (4) will strip fitter for this after running below expectations first-up at Wellington when sixth over 1100m. Claim helps and has minor place prospects. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 1,2,6. |

RAILWAY HOTEL | ORANGE VET HOSPITAL MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
Spectacular Star and Supreme Honours can be prominent. RODEO DEALER (6) returning from a spell and now in the Peter Kirby yard. Back without a trial after struggling at provincial level at his last two starts. Comes to hand quickly and has a host of gear changes for this. Respect. ARGYLE LAIRD (1) drifted back then closed late for a respectable fourth on resumption over 1000m at Orange. Can go on with it now from the low draw. SUPREME HONOURS (7) failed to back up the good run at Cooma two back, when seventh over 1000m at Gundagai. Had excuses at the latest and Billy Owen sticks. Each-way. SPUNKY REWARD (10) is having her fourth start today and finds an easier race after struggling when seventh over 1100m at Dubbo. Goes into the exotics with Neale's claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rodeo Dealer will take holding out. |

TELESCOPE TYRES | PARKES REAL PROPERTY BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m
Houdini Spirit should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. MISS TORONADO (1) former Victorian mare who resumes for the Todd Smart stable. Has shown ability in nine career starts with a proven first-up record. Gets her chance from the good draw with a senior rider engaged. CHICKEN LEGS (3) drops in grade and the 3kg claim will help his cause after fading late to run eighth over 1200m at Inverell. Faces an easier assignment and is perfectly placed to bounce back. ONE MORE THING (6) fitter after two runs back and proven at this track and trip. Kept fresh and can take a hand in the finish. PRESS GAZE (8) improved effort second-up when second over 900m at Wellington. Well drawn and should be right in contention. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Toronado to assert her class. |

PARKES ELVIS FESTIVAL ANNUALLY IN JANUARY BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200m
Hot tempo expected from Loud and Bobby's Secret. JADE DIVISION (2) settled well back and failed to finish off when fifth over 1280m at Gilgandra. Assess on his good win two-back and expected to return to form in this easier contest. FRUIT OF DE VINE (9) finally got off the mark at start nine when a slick winner over 1200m at Queanbeyan. Confidence is high now and can go on with it today with Stiff's 3kg claim. BILLABONG ROSE (5) stripped fitter when a sharp winner as favourite over 1400m at Wellington. Looks up to this from the good gate and can figure in the finish. GAMOLINA (10) in need of the run first-up from the awkward gate when eighth over 1100m at Dubbo. Strips fitter and must be kept safe with a few gear changes. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,9,510. |
