TAB Handicap 1300m
Cracking tempo with Astern Magic and Debating leading the way. JUST ALBERT (3) is a former Victorian who has had a few starts for the new yard and got off the mark in this area in style last time, coming with a swooping run to score. Drawn well and same claimer aboard. Will be tough to stop with a repeat. DEBATING (2) is a course and distance winner last start when led throughout and clung on to score. More weight and tricky draw but will be in this for a long way. ASTERN MAGIC (8) was a little disappointing over 1200m last time but the start prior was here over 1300m and led until the final few bounds. Will take catching off the low draw again. MAX ROCK (7) settled back here last time and turned there but flashed home into third. Will be doing the same this time. RISING FIRE (1) resumes in easier grade and has the ability to feature fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Just Albert. |

Become A DTC Member Handicap 1200m
Cracking tempo looks assured with many of these capable of pushing on early. Small field but good race. TIME TO BACA (5) is chasing a hat-trick and may well be the better value of the two fancied runners. Has won three of her last four for the new yard, the latest leading throughout to score in a Class 2 by eight lengths. Kept fresh for this and best figures stack up. It's not hard to see why JUMPING POWER TWO (1) wouldn't be well fancied having won four from four since coming to the NT. Won this class leading throughout latest and off the inside draw will take catching again. PHYSICAL GRAFFITI (3) ran well last time getting home second behind Patriotic King and freshened since. Rates highly and will be winding up strongly. MIAMI BABY (6) has run on well at both runs this time in and placed at each. Should be at his top and gets a chance. KESSLER (4) was placed here fresh and strips trimmer. Expected to improve sharply. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Time To Baca. |

ROANT TROBIS Handicap 1200m
Rock Revolution is the likely leader at a strong tempo. Interesting race with two newcomers to the area. ROCK REVOLUTION (1) is a former Waterhouse & Bott galloper with a decent record and only knows one pace - making the way up front. Very well placed in this company and if he handles the dirt will be tough to catch first try this circuit. ROSSANADO (3) was a fresh-up winner in what may well be a good form race. He beat much of the field in the previous race. Strips fitter and off the low draw will stalk the lead and go close again. FURY (2) is another former Victorian from the Maher yard and is a half-brother to Group 1 winner The Quarterback. Best figures stack up and well placed this class if on song. BEATIFICATION (6) has been going well without winning and finished fourth behind Rossanado in the latest. Can sneak into the finish. PREDICTING (4) is fitter for two runs in and is a likely improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Rock Revolution. |

Ladbrokes Summer Sprint Series (Heat 1) Handicap 1100m
Solid tempo with Zourata, Forms Of Fear and Patriotic King going hard, closely attended by Crown Waters. Hard to go past PATRIOTIC KING (6) who has won three of his last four. Great record here, great record with Todd on top and drops 6kg on a last start win. 1200m suits better but will be tough to stop over this journey with the nice weight. FORMS OF FEAR (4) is the clear danger. Returned from a spell with an impressive win and also drops in the weights. Fitter and expected to go close again. CROWN WATERS (5) resumed from a break when game in defeat behind Forms Of Fear, finishing second. No weight relief on the winner but has a strong second-up record. ZOURATA (2) is a talented galloper resuming and goes well fresh. Sure to be primed to run well. BON'S PRIDE (1) is another fresh and has placed 3/5 starts when resuming. Can run a bold race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Patriotic King. |

bet365 Handicap 1000m
Cracking tempo looks assured with many of these capable of pushing on early. Interesting race with a couple of former Jolly brothers gallopers making their debuts in this area. ANECDOTAL (2) is a former David Jolly/Potter galloper with a good record for this. Has early speed and expect from the low draw will try to lead throughout. I LOVERAIN (3) is formerly with the Richard and Chantelle Jolly yard. Freshened since a close-up fifth at Strathalbyn latest and will be doing best work late in this. POLARISING (5) is a local resuming and has a good record while fresh. Goes very well course and distance and rider is 1/1 so far. CRIPPS TONITE (1) is fitter for two runs back and is better than recent form suggests but really needs to lift now. OAKLAND RAIDER (4) has good early pace and can give a sight at odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Anecdotal. |
