Martin Collins Australia Class 1 Plate 2200m
Optimus Maximus and Highland Kitty to take it up. HIGHLAND KITTY (7) is still a maiden but has been right there at the past three outings and looks to be working up to a victory. Strikes a very winnable contest here and can finally break through. Former Victorian MAKAMAE (4) has been thereabouts in both starts since joining the new stable including placing around this circuit at the latest effort. Gets some weight off with the claim and looms as the main danger. O'EXPLOSIVE (5) has placed three of his past four and will be rock-hard fit for this. Top-three aspirations. The well-related PELLINOR (6) (half to G3 winner Snippets Land) gets Graham on board from the low draw and may earn some minor money. REVELAIDE (2) next best in a race with only a handful of chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Highland Kitty to shed the maiden tag. |

Higgins Coatings Class 1 Handicap 1000m
Tara's Reward, Hey Daisy and Milestone to take up the running at a decent tempo. LARADO (1) resumes here but the form he showed in his first preparation was good enough for a race of this calibre. Tuned up for this with a recent trial and a strong showing while fresh would not surprise. Former Victorian TARA'S REWARD (4) returned in good order winning over this track and trip in the first run for the new barn and successful rider Thornton sticks in the irons. Can go back-to-back. HANNABANA (7) has a handy record here on her home circuit with a win and two placings from four spins. Strips fitter second-up and has genuine top-three prospects. HEY DAISY (6) gets Rodd back on board and cannot be discounted lightly. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Larado. |

Club Mooloolaba BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1000m
In a small field either King Of The Jungle or Air We Go will find the front. AIR WE GO (7) is a consistent conveyance who has only missed the top-four once in seven career outings and doesn't know how to put in a poor one. Boasts a win over this track and trip and is yet to taste defeat in two first-up efforts. Rates the testing material while fresh. KING OF THE JUNGLE (5) has won two of his past three over this course and distance and is racing with a lot of confidence of late. Forward showing expected. KING SPIRIT (6) hasn't been too far away in recent outings and looks a must for the multiples. APOLLO TEN (8) is a bit hit or miss but is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Air We Go to return a winner. |

Kawana SLSC Class 2 Handicap 1300m
Moderate tempo expected with The Bear likely to find the front over Wild Gypsy and Home Zone. THE BEAR (4) had gotten better with each run this time in and that culminated with a solid victory at this track last time out. Gets 2kg off with the claim and can play a major role in the finish. RUINS OF ROME (1) boasts a win and a placing from two outings here at this circuit and will be ready to peak now fourth-up from the break. In the mix. The well-related WILD GYPSY (6) (half to G1 winner Wild Ruler) is yet to miss a place in three starts over this distance range and may earn some minor money with any luck from the wide draw. ROCHEDALE HERO (5) draws the inside marble and is sure to give backers a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 4,1,6,5. |

Moffat Beach Brewing Co BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1600m
They should run this along with Okesutora and La Rosetta taking it up over One Beat No Beat. Former Victorian LA ROSETTA (13) looked handy winning at the Gold Coast in the first run for the new stable and winning rider Youngberry stays on top. Gets in well at the weights with her claim and should be going very close again. OKESUTORA (5) has hit the frame here in both starts this campaign and will be ready to peak now third-up from the break. Has to be included in calculations. BOLSHEVIC ROAD (10) was a touch disappointing last time out but go on the strong win over this track and trip two back. Can bounce right back against this line-up. ONE BEAT NO BEAT (2) is a last-start winner who draws low and gets 2kg weight relief. Ticks a few boxes. SACRED BULL (7) next best from the Bruce yard. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with La Rosetta. |

Ben Liddell Constructions RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1600m
Chayse 'N' Leisa may well find the front is a race devoid of early speed. SAVVY BEE (11) doesn't win out of turn but has been right there at the past four outings and this is not an overly strong affair. Will be rock-hard fit for this and gets Rodd on board from a low draw. Rates the testing material. PRIDE OF SAVABELLA (7) boasts a win over this track and trip and gets the services of Wiggins in the irons. Among the leading chances. CHAYSE 'N' LEISA (4) put back-to-back wins together before being thereabouts at the past three outings. Only needs some luck navigating from the sticky draw to be playing a role in the outcome. ARTSPACE (1) gets a stack of weight relief with the 3kg claim and may make his presence felt. PRINCETON AWARD (10) best of the rest while fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 11,7,4,1. |

TAB QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1000m
They look to roll along early with Head Of The River and Cryptic Beauty leading the charge. Tricky race to close out the card with a couple of these facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade CRYPTIC BEAUTY (7) resumes here but showed glimpses of ability in her first campaign and has revved up for this with a recent trial placing. Gets Melbourne Cup winning hoop Dolan in the saddle and can run a big race while fresh. STORM IN SEATTLE (5) is on debut but has looked handy winning both trials to date and is sure to be well-educated out of the Hoysted camp. Respect any market confidence. GEITZ (10) has placed two from two over this sprint journey and gets some weight relief with the claim. Don't dismiss lightly. SNITZSTREAM (15) is drawn to get a gun run in transit from the inside alley and shouldn't be underestimated. KAMIGAMO (14) is a former Victorian having her first run for the new stable but should find this easier than what she faced down south. Might present some value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Cryptic Beauty. |
