Ladbrokes Top 2/3/4 Betting Handicap 2500m
Karburan should lead and dictate terms. These haven't done much winning recently and HANAFUBUKI (2) is firmly in that category but she's racing very well with three good efforts this time in, rattling home in good splits for fourth at Sandown Lakeside last time out. Now gets to her ideal trip on the big track, this is her race. THE VOCALIST (4) appreciated the rise to 2600m with a better effort at Cranbourne third up. He should be at peak fitness now and has the staying ability to give this a shake. KARBURAN (1) is back from 3040m but continues to race well without winning. He'll be up on speed and take a bit of getting past with that stamina. URBAN OUTLOOK (3) is going okay of late and could sneak into the finish ahead of DANCING JUICE (6) who gets a look at a longer trip now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hanafubuki to win. |

NZB Karaka 2026 Maiden Plate 1600m
De Lord to take charge ahead of Trojan's Princess at a good tempo. ALGORITHMIC (4) looks well placed. He hasn't quite measured up to some early promise but battled on well late at Seymour over 1400m second up, giving the indication the mile would be right up his alley. He can land in a trailing spot from the inside gate and break through. ASHINA (10) ran a cracking race on debut at Cranbourne when flashing home for second which saw him backed into $1.55 at Kerang in an easier race last time. She was disappointing there but she's worth another chance. LEVERAGED BUYOUT (5) put in a good effort last start at Moe when beaten under a length. He lands in a good spot and takes beating. PICK A SYMPHONY (2) has just found one better in three runs this time in and has claims again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Algorithmic to win. |

Cameron Industrial Commercial Maiden Plate 1000m
Not a great deal of speed on paper so it may be left to one of the first starters to roll to the front. GIN TWIST (9) is a filly by boom sire Home Affairs who kicks off for the Hayes yard. Her latest jump out at Flemington was excellent to the eye, showing speed and gapping her rivals. She looks ready to go for one of the best 2yo stables in the country. BRAZEN DECHAMBEAU (2) was okay in G3 company on debut and kicks off here with a spell under his belt. Can improve this time in. OUR BRAVE BOY (5) is a Brave Smash gelding on debut for the Stokes yard who has jumped out well and can figure. GOOD FEEL (4) two-year-old colt out of Group 1 winning dam Costa Viva. Filled a minor placing in his most recent trial at Flemington. Has the pedigree so don't dismiss. SUGGESTED PLAY: Gin Twist to win. |

El Jannah Handicap 1200m
Only a small field with Off Their Perch likely to find a comfortable lead. FIRERATED (4) wasn't beaten far on debut at Pakenham and made good improvement to score at Moe at his second outing when racing up on speed. He draws for every chance here and can measure up. CHOCOLATE BOX (3) resumes with a consistent overall profile. She got over a touch further last time in but her only win to date came over this trip and she should be sharp enough to run a strong race. STORMBOURG (2) is looking to bounce back off an even run without the best of luck second up having caught the eye fresh with a big finish. He should be hard to hold out. OFF THEIR PERCH (8) is lightly raced off a solid return and has to be respected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Firerated can get the job done. |

Ladbrokes Future Stars Series Heat 1 1200m
Genuine tempo from Foxtrot Charlie leading Maynard. First heat of the Future Stars Series Final but it looks tough. CYBER LINK (2) is a Bivouac colt on debut for the Greg Eurell yard. He's looked good at the trials, winning a 1000m heat at Caulfield Heath a month ago. Expect him to measure up strongly. SALUDAR (7) is a colt by top sire Written Tycoon who steps out for the Begg yard. He's jumped out quite well and has to be respected for the top yard from the inside gate. FOXTROT CHARLIE (3) stuck on fairly well on debut at Mornington for third and should come on from that. He can be in this for a long way. LA DIVINA (12) is another Written Tycoon progeny, a filly for the Eurell yard who has jumped out well at Cranbourne and has claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cyber Link to win. |

KID-TASTIC FRIDAYS 16 JAN Maiden Plate 1400m
Expecting Razanne to be prominent but one or more of the first starters should add to the early pressure. RAZANNE (10) looks the one to beat. She debuted with a tough effort at Sale over 1415m, showing speed and fighting on gamely to the line to be beaten just a head into second. She'll no doubt be better for that and if she gets across early she'll take plenty of catching. BLANKFIELD (1) has placed in both starts to date, working home well at Cranbourne last time out over 1300m. Another 100m here looks to suit and he'll be the one coming late. SUNSHINE STAR (12) is a filly by So You Think on debut for the Hayes yard. She's jumped out fairly well but may want further in time. CAROLINA ROSE (7) was solid on debut at Colac and is open to improvement, albeit this looks a touch harder. SUGGESTED PLAY: Razanne to win. |

Hygain Edge Fillies & Mares Handicap 1400m
Slick pace with Snappy Pierro finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. DIVINE JUSTICE (6) has placed in both runs back from a spell, solid fresh at Kyneton then running a very good race at Sandown Lakeside in what looks a tougher race, only beaten a length into third behind two smart types. This suits perfectly and she should go close. SNAPPY PIERRO (8) is racing well. She was big odds in the same race as Divine Justice last time but wasn't far away. She draws well and has claims. SAVANNAH CHILL (4) was just fair fresh at Ballarat but that was a fair bit stronger and she's lightly raced with plenty of upside to come. BLISTERING (1) finished second two back then could only manage seventh last time over 1400m at Sandown-Lakeside. Can improve here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Divine Justice to win. |

The Big Screen Company Handicap 1600m
Good pace with Angiemarie, Taka Speed and Subtle Power prominent. ANGIEMARIE (12) looks well placed. She's a lightly raced filly who won her maiden smartly fresh before pulling up with issues at Cranbourne in a much stronger race when sent out a $5.50 chance behind Ahha Ahha. She drops back a notch here and maps to advantage on speed. Go close. SUBTLE POWER (11) can mix her form. She was poor at Kyneton last time and has been freshened since. The run two back over this route has her firmly in the finish. TAKA SPEED (2) resumed with a dogged victory at Mornington over 1500m to get up by a nose. He's lightly raced and should strip fitter now. SURPERB FROST (8) won his maiden impressively last time out and might be able to go on with it now while SUPER MIRAGE (3) is an interesting one off a let-up and now with the Bedggood yard. SUGGESTED PLAY: Angiemarie to win. |
