ABBA RACE DAY 17 JANUARY 2026 CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE 2100m
Tactical given the lack of speed. The scratching of Spenzalot presents this race to SACRO CATINO (2) who settled back in the small field and never looked a threat first-up over 1600m at Randwick last start. Needs this sort of trip and in a race devoid of depth he looks the winner. SO YOU READY (3) stepped up in trip and turned in a vastly better effort recently in the same race as Spenzalot at the Beaumont. Has won here at today's distance. Should be peaking after three runs back from a spell. Bit of a gap to the next best in CALL ME SON (1) who is performing well in Canberra but has never raced beyond a mile. The others look forlorn hopes, with MORE THAN BUBBLES (8) and INTERIM ORDER (5) fighting it out for the minor end of the prize. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sacro Catino will be short - take the 2-3 exacta. |

AUSSIE NIGHT MARKETS SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 1100m
Expecting Denise's Gal to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. Bjorn Baker's Extreme Choice first starter EXTRAGLOW (6) has been most impressive in his last couple of trials, winning both by wide spaces. Has to measure up on race day but he is in good hands and looks well above average. MAGIC FLAMES (8) settled handy then worked home well but found one better when resuming over this distance at Wyong last start. Should race up on the speed again and with that run under the belt will be tough to hold out. New Michael Freedman acquisition PAZYRYK (10) lines up for the first time since failing on debut at Canterbury 11 months ago. In the market on that occasion so probably has more to offer. HAMMURABI (1) debuts. Has trialled no less than six times, with the latest effort the pick of them. Watch the betting. DENISE'S GAL (5) probably gets a soft lead and might give them something to catch. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing the promising Extraglow. |

TANTI FINANCIAL SERVICES PROVINCIAL MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Funshow should find the front with The Netball Queen and Oakfield Universe on his heels. FUNSHOW (1) started favourite and did a good job to hang on for second after showing pace on debut over this distance at the Beaumont track. With a little natural improvement to come he looks perfectly poised to go one better. FIREWORK (2) returns from a five-month spell. Opened last prep with a narrow defeat over today's journey at Kembla, the high point of that campaign. Big chance with a similar effort today. OAKFIELD UNIVERSE (8) battled on well but was no match for the winner when fresh from a spell over 1100m at Wyong recently. Nicely drawn and the extra 100m boosts her chances. ETOILES (3) is a Bivouac three-year-old on debut. Looked good winning a trial at Wyong on 23 December. Respect any positive market push. ALL STAR (5) was a well-beaten third when resuming at Wyong last start but is lightly raced and has great scope for improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Funshow to lead all the way. |

THE CIARAN CURLEY CUP CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1600m
Baulkham Hills to find the front in the small field. FEDERAL RESERVE (2) is a consistent three-year-old who is by Justify so he should enjoy getting to the mile for the first time. Even effort last time to fill a minor placing in a Class 1 over 1350m. Very fit and sure to give a strong account. MURPHILLY (5) is in career-best form with three consecutive top three finishes, all over this course and distance. Only needs to maintain that performance level to be a major player. ARTIE STEAMER (10) turned in a real eye-catcher on debut at Goulburn when friendless in betting, closing hard to be beaten under two lengths following a poor jump. Gets an extra 100m today and is one to watch for late in the piece. The genuine CUESTA (4) is also in the mix on the back of strong recent form, the latest effort a very close second in a similar race to this at Orange. SOUTHERN SKY (9) is fitter for two runs back from a spell and is a must for exotics punters. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Federal Reserve. |

ROBINSON FAMILY BUTCHER MIDWAY BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1000m
Strong early tempo with Generous Harry and Dreams Of Thunder leading the way. A few strong form lines converge. GENEROUS HARRY (2) returned from a 13-month absence last start with a decisive win over this distance at Wyong, taking charge before the bend then going right on with it. The one to beat again if that run hasn't gassed him - keep a close eye on the market late. Promising filly DIETRICH (10) resumed with a tidy win in a maiden over this course and distance last time out. That was a career-high figure so she is on the ascendancy. Perfectly drawn to play a significant role again. SEA ADMIRAL (4) led from the outset to easily take out a Class 1 over this journey at Nowra when fresh from a spell recently. Tougher task this time but he has only raced four times and has a stack of upside. A couple of things went wrong for DEFIANT HEART (1) at Warwick Farm last time. Loves racing here and can bounce back. PRINCESS CRUIZER (6) has not raced for seven weeks so might need this, but a top four finish would not shock. SUGGESTED PLAY: Good race - leaning to Generous Harry. |

PLUIM GROUP CG&E BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1200m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Exceed Perfection. OCTA DE LAGO (6) has been ridden quietly then unleashed late in his two runs this prep, the latest over 1250m at the Beaumont track when a few things went wrong but he still got up for second. Lightly raced four-year-old who is cherry ripe for this and looks the goods. HYDROMETER (1) has been racing well in Sydney without threatening. A winner here at this trip from his only try. Very fit and can turn things around in this easier race. EXCEED PERFECTION (8) resumes. Opened last prep with a good second here off a much longer break. Trialling well and should hit the ground running this campaign. TRIPLE TRIPLE (10) led and dug deep to score over 1300m at Taree recently. Faces some better types today but can give some cheek. DEPUTIZE (5) is back from a ten-month absence. Absolutely bolted in when fresh from a spell at the Sunshine Coast last prep. Must come under consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Octa De Lago. |

CORPORATE RACE DAY 11 FEBRUARY 2026 F&M BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1200m
Ballyhoo, Nullarbor Jane and Attractiveness can set a good tempo. MADAME FIOCCA (12) was second-up from a 22-month spell when successful last time out over 1100m at Goulburn, coming with a well-timed run to get the prize. Takes on a better field here but she has loads of upside and looks up to the task. TRAFALGAR SQUARE (6) is back sharply in distance after a disappointing effort over the Randwick mile recently. Has a terrible win strike rate but has placed three from three at Gosford - each-way claims. NULLARBOR JANE (7) has been very good in her two runs this prep. Up 200m in trip and carries a lot more weight today but cannot be dismissed in this sort of form. The promising ATTRACTIVENESS (9) is in the mix after a comfortable maiden win here last start. CORDINA (14) wasn't all that far away at Canterbury last start and should be peaking after three runs back from a spell. SUGGESTED PLAY: Madame Fiocca to take out the last. |
