FAIRY KING PRAWN HANDICAP 1400m
THOUSAND SPIRIT (2) rolled forward at this track and trip last start and stuck on well, ending up 1.5L off the winner. It's been a while since he won, but he showed last start he's knocking on the door and he drops a kilo on that effort. Finds a winnable race today though and can end his winning drought. RISING PHOENIX (10) has struggled to get into races recently when ending up a long way back from wide draws. He draws much better this time around and gets Purton back in the saddle today. Looks an improver today. ENDUED (1) comes here fresh and gets Craig Williams in the saddle. His latest trial was solid and the visors come off for today's return. He's a winner here previously and he can make his presence felt first-up. RED BRICK WARRIOR (4) is on debut today and looks to have found a suitable C4 to begin his career. |

SNOW FAIRY HANDICAP 1200m
GENEVA (3) has always shown some promise and his trials coming in this time suggest he's ready to take the next level this time around. Bowman was on board for his latest trial and he remains in the saddle today. Drawn a little sticky, but has the class to knock this over first-up. CIRCUIT GRAND SLAM (1) settled last and charged down the outside to score as a 50-1 chance after a very long layoff. It was a good training performance and the figure he turned in there suggested he is back as good as ever. He's trialled well since then again and he's not to be discounted with Soumillon taking the ride. LET'S HAVE FUN (11) has trialled well since arriving in Hong Kong with Yeung sticking from his latest trial. The cheekpieces go on for the first time today and he can play a leading role. HELENE SUPAFEELING (4) is another HK debutant today and J-Mac's booking is a good push for his chances. Can make a statement. |

SILENT WITNESS HANDICAP 1200m
PACKING PHOENIX (3) won impressively first-up and looked like a nice horse on the rise, though he disappointed last time out when the $1.7 favourite. He's been back to the trials since and Purton remains in the saddle. The tongue tie goes on now and he can bounce back to winning ways from a good draw. MAJESTIC VALOUR (1) settled handy last start before getting the job done over this track and trip last time out, winning by 1.8L. Moore replaces Purton in the irons and he has enough early speed to get across from the draw. Looks to have plenty of upside and can get the job done again. VOYAGE BOSS (4) has won a trial since his latest performance where he didn't have much luck, settling wide and without cover. He looks well suited here from a much better barrier and he can make his presence felt. JUBILANT STAR (6) flew home last time out and won't be far away. |

THE LONGINES HONG KONG VASE 2400m
The first of the G1's today and GIAVELLOTTO (3) looks to retain his crown after bolting in to win this 12 months ago. He was solid in the Arc after winning the September Stakes at Kempton and is coming in just as well as he was 12 months ago. Would've won by further 12 months ago with even luck and he can go back-to-back. SOSIE (5) hit the line alongside Giavellotto in the Arc after a bold effort in the Prix Foy at Lonchamp. Guyon hops back in the saddle today and her form reads brilliantly for a race like this. He looks the maps danger on his recent efforts. URBAN CHIC (6) finished strongly in the Tenno Sho and has performed well out to 2400m previously. Can build on his latest effort and with a good draw, he can make his presence felt. AL RIFFA (2) was in top order before a solid run in the Melbourne Cup. Right in this on his best form. LOS ANGELES (1) is right in this race if he can bring his best form. |

THE LONGINES HONG KONG SPRINT 1200m
KA YING RISING (1) showed no ill-effects of his travel to Australia with a dominant win in the G2 Jockey Club Sprint last time out, running away to win by 2.8L. He looks ready to go to another level again now and the inside draw won't be an issue for him. Purton will keep him out of trouble and he can extend his winning streak. SATONO REVE (2) gets Moore in the saddle today after a solid performance in the Sprinters stakes at Nakayama. He almost got Ka Ying in this race 12 months ago and was solid behind him again in April. He looks the next best in this field. HELIOS EXPRESS (4) has been just plain by his standards this time in work but he is known to peak third-up into the campaign. He went close to winning this 12 months ago and if he can bounce back to his best, he'll go close. FAST NETWORK (6) was strong in the lead up here under McDonald and can finish in the placings again. |

JIM AND TONIC HANDICAP 1800m
GENTLEMEN LEGACY (2) drops back to 1800m today following a strong effort over 2000m last time out at this track. Purton hops back in the saddle now and the pair went close to winning over this track and trip first-up this season. Can return to winning ways under this scenario. PRESTIGE GOOD (5) finished 0.3L from the winner over 2000m last time out and now gets J-Mac in the saddle. He'll be able to lob in a midfield position with the drop back to 1800m no issue. Showed last start he's knocking on the door and can play a leading role once again. THE AUSPICIOUS (13) dropped back in trip last and flew late, finishing only 1L away in a bunched finish over 1800m. Getting out to 1800m now looks ideal and he remains down in the weights. Showed last start he's up to this grade and can get back to winning ways. SNOWFIELD (6) is sure to be flying late in the race once again. |

THE LONGINES HONG KONG MILE 1600m
The G1 Hong Kong Mile now and VOYAGE BUBBLE (2) looks the one to beat coming back from a game performance behind Romantic Warrior last time out. Purton remains in the saddle today and he's had a quiet trial since to keep him up to the mark. Can roll across from out wide and be very tough to hold out. MY WISH (10) jumped the $1.40 fave in the lead-up here 21 days ago and stuck on well with the placegetters coming from well back in the field. This looks to shape beautifully from the barrier and that last start SP holds plenty of weight. Can bounce back to winning ways. EMBROIDERY (14) won the G1 Shuka Sho over 2000m last start and drops back to the mile today. That's not an issue however with her G1 Oka Sho win rating highly. Takes on the older horses today but has plenty of class an can't be discounted. GALAXY PATCH (5) won the lead-up and has to be included for J-Mac. THE LION IN WINTER (13) creates interest at a big price with some handy global formlines. |

THE LONGINES HONG KONG CUP 2000m
ROMANTIC WARRIOR (1) looks set to pick up his fourth Hong Kong Cup in a row after a barnstorming win in the G2 Jockey Club Cup in 21 days ago. He maps perfectly under J-Mac from an inside draw and he returned as good as ever. Can improve on that effort here and is clearly the one to beat. BELLAGIO OPERA (2) looks the only one who may be able to challenge Hong Kong's champ, finishing 3L away in the Takarazuka Kinen most recently when favourite. He should be on the pace from barrier five and has turned in figures right up to what Warrior can produced. Needs to do it in HK now but you can make a case for him. QUISISANA (7) never featured in the Arc but was solid behind Kalpana at Ascot most recently. Soumillon hops back on board, though she'd have to improve to trouble the top two. STRAIGHT ARRON (5) can add some local flavour into the exotics. |

OUIJA BOARD HANDICAP 1400m
EVERYONE'S STAR (2) has gone under narrowly in both runs this campaign missing by 0.5L fresh before going under in a photo most recently. He mightn't be as far back from the draw this time around and Purton remains in the saddle. He can get back to winning ways now. EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS (12) settled on the speed here first-up and may have just felt the pinch late, unable to fend off the winner when beaten 1L most recently. Harry Bentley takes the ride now and he rates highly on that effort. Expecting him to be fitter for that performance and he can go one better. STAR RISE (3) looks suited out to this trip for the first time today with the way he's been finishing off strongly in his past couple. McDonald remains with the gelding and he still has plenty of upside. No doubt has 4YO Series ambitions and can begin his journey there today. CHARMING LEGEND (4) has trialled well coming into this has to be included. |

HIGHLAND REEL HANDICAP 1400m
PUBLIC ATTENTION (12) was very impressive in his Hong Kong debut, finishing 0.5L away when sitting on the speed under his big weight. He's since won a trial on the All Weather and he drops 9kg for the rise in grade today. His fresh run suggested he was up to this grade and he can go one better. DANCING CODE (4) missed by 1.8L over the 1200m journey most recently and has turned in a nice trial since that effort. The inside draw should see him get every chance out to the 1400m where he's never won, though has placed 7/14. Can put his best foot forward. AERIS NOVA (8) has missed in his past two races by 0.5L when finishing off strongly from midfield or worse. His latest trial was very good and getting back out to 1400m now looks a good move. Rates highly as he drops in weight and is expected to be in the finish. KARMA (11) can improve on the fresh effort today and looks well placed back to his preferred track and trip. |
