NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:20 Yarragon Country Style Bakery Maiden Plate 1200m
There should be a bit of pressure with Igotmymindonyou and Good Onya Champ pressing forward in advance of Miss Trombari and Gypsy Warrior. WARRIOR WITHIN (5) resumes and two back went close at Pakenham. Placed in his latest Cranbourne jumpout and Stackhouse rides from the inside barrier. Tough to beat. IGOTMYMINDONYOU (2) missed the frame last start by just 1.2L over 1100m at Traralgon, after being prominent at the turn. Went just as good here prior and fourth up is ready to win. IMMORTALISED (7) was beaten less than 2L at Mornington first-up but was plain after. He's been freshened and jumped out well. He can feature with average luck in the run. CANBECOSTLY (1) has not raced since a 3-length defeat at over 1209m at Yarra Valley on debut. Has had two jumpouts with race-rider Noonan aboard. Will be naturally improved and has shown enough to suggest he can get off the mark.  SUGGESTED PLAY: With Warrior Within.
2 01:55 Purcell Painting 3YO Maiden Plate 1100m
Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. Maher trained KIPPIS (11) has been kept fresh since his narrow defeat here on debut. Was heavily bet and has been kept up to the mark with a Cranbourne trial placing. Has Dee up and is the one they have to beat. COVERT MISSION (1) resumes, and on what we've seen the colt is a threat. Was on speed beaten 1L at Sandown-Hillside on debut and won a recent Mornington jumpout. Noonan rides and has been with him all along. IN'KANTOSSTAR (3) debuts for Maher with Ben Allen engaged. He's a full brother to multiple Group 1 winning sprinter Jimmysstar and is likely to have plenty of ability. Better for two jumpouts, and the betting will be key. SALARIA (14) had been well educated before a 2L defeat at Pakenham on debut. Loses Noonan but is in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Kippis can go on.
3 02:30 Indulge Yourself Beauty Maiden Plate 1000m
Taupe is the likely leader at a strong tempo. Doubt there's much between the better ones. TAUPE (12) is a leader who appeals most, building on his narrow defeat at Kilmore. Keeps Stackhouse and will keep improving for a top metro stable. Will take plenty of catching dropping back 100m. FORT OF DREAMS (2) debuts and is also in elite hands. Has the inside gate and the rail to guide him around. Has looked good at the jumpouts. TOO MUCH TOO SOON (13) resumes and was last seen in Adelaide in a CL1. He was nudged out in an Open two at Sandown-Hillside the one before, and that's good form. ITAZURA (3) has been off the scene for 389 days but showed plenty on debut. Has been gelded and has had a string of jumpouts. Placed the latest, and it won't surprise if he races well. FLAT CHAT (6) has been off the scene for a year, but he has plenty of ability, and the jumpouts have been good. Keep safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Taupe appeals most.
4 03:05 Kim McFarlane Criminal Lawyers Maiden Plate 1600m
French Gift to take up the running at a moderate tempo. CAELIUS (7) was nudged out at Sale first-up over 1400m and then was heavily bet this track/trop beaten 1.3L. He's settled last, and there was a stack of merit in the effort. Has a low gate today and can kept on the fresh side, should be making amends. LEVERAGED BUYOUT (12) has needed his two runs this preparation and will be a lot sharper stepping up to the mile. Was tried at Stakes grade at Eagle Farm and the back of the previous campaign, and has plenty up his sleeve. FRENCH GIFT (8) was expected to win first-up but found The Mean Fiddler much too good. A dryer track should suit him better, and expect quick improvement from the Hayes-trained galloper. MOONBOLT (5) peaks and should enjoy the longer distance. Maps well today and is likely to feature. NEWCOMBE (6) wasn't far away in town before going close at Stony Creek on a heavy surface. He's worth a look at double-figure odds.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Caelius.
5 03:40 Moe Refrigeration BM62 Handicap 1600m
Just a moderate tempo headed by Smoke 'N' Oakum, Box Vale and Nordic Belle. TISHMAN (1) resumes for a top metro stable and kicking off at the mile won't be an issue. He's raced well in stronger than this and has had three jumpouts, placing the latest. Maps okay and the 3kg claim brings him right into it. MISS CASTELVECCHIO (14) peaks and was only beaten 1.4L over this trip at Caulfield Heath. Has a wide gate to contend with, but this is winnable with average luck. TRIPLE TIME (4) is a stablemate to the top selection and on the improve. Has been backed off the map both starts and will get every chance from an inside barrier. JUMPINMYCAR (2) also brings a strong Maiden win, and the extra metres will suit him.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Tishman appeals most.
6 04:10 Australian Moving Logistics 0 - 62 Handicap 2050m
Genuine tempo from Calypso King leading Up And Under. DANCING JUICE (9) was racing well at the provincials and was well supported before the nose defeat at Tatura. Has weight relief this time around and if he can run up to his recent figures, he'll be hard to hold out. CALYPSO KING (4) is also racing well enough to feature. Steps out to this distance for the first time and is sure to be strong to the line. PARVATI PARTY (7) is up to this at best and has won a jumpout since the plain effort here first-up. Has some key gear tweaks and quick improvement is likely. TACTFULL (10) spiked his figures beaten 1L in stronger at Traralgon. The wet track suited, but he will be around the mark on that effort.  SUGGESTED PLAY: With Dancing Juice.
7 04:48 Ladbrokes Quick Multi BM56 Handicap 1000m
Good pace from Bleak Mid Winter, Free To Play and Dummy Spit going forward. IDLEONBY (8) impressed in his first preparation and returns today, owning two wins at the Flemington jumpouts. She maps for the run of the race and has plenty of upside. Tough to roll. SCREAM (5) peaks off a tidy placing at Mornington in a 62. Carries more weight but has genuine claims on a 9-day back-up. LEGACY BEL (10) has jumped out since a plainer effort last time and Wangaratta, though her form prior was very strong. Drops back to the short course today and if she can bounce back to her prior form. BLEAK MID WINTER (2) lands here first-up with two jumpouts under his belt for the new trainer. Was very impressive when resuming last campaign before being tried in metropolitan company. Keep safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Idleonby.
8 05:25 Strzelecki Realty BM62 Handicap 1200m
Not much early pressure but Crystanado, Shyamalan and Lensman can take up forward spots. TWISTED QUEEN (5) was quickly back to form winning this grade against her own sex at Pakenham as favourite. She maps well and has more to give. She's promising and looks set to go back-to-back. EL TERCERO (3) brings three threatening efforts from the provincials in tougher company. He's likely to push forward and is well placed to be winning. SHYAMALAN (11) is a Hayes-trained stablemate to the top selection and can build on his debut win at Wodonga. He's won a Flemington jumpout since and has a future. LULU DARLING (9) resumes back plenty in grade and has a strong fresh record. Has jumped out well and may be the one to pop up at a price.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Twisted Queen.
