NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:40 Hygain Maiden Plate 1100m
Poised should lead at a slick tempo. SMART AND MIGHTY (1) comes here third-up after getting into what ended up being a strong race here 22 days ago. His runs have been spaced throughout his career thus far and he has shown talent. Kennedy claims 3kg today and with the aid of an inside draw, he can land the knockout blow. FAERIE (5) led at Mornington over 1200m last start and stuck on well, finishing only 1.7L off the winner. This looks an easier race on paper and McDougall is a good booking. Third-up now and looks set to peak in this suitable assignment. POISED (8) didn't fire a shot first-up at Pakenham and has been back to the jumpouts since where she got the job done. This looks an easer race and if she can get across from the draw, she'll be in this for a long way. CARIBBEAN VILLA (13) is better than we saw on debut and can improve sharply.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Smart And Mighty to win.
2 02:15 Shepparton Club Maiden Plate 1450m
Neverenoughlego and Misil Concett are both expected to press forward and take it up. NEVERENOUGHLEGO (6) can bounce back. He was found wanting in a plain effort at Kilmore last time when beaten at $1.30 but had been knocking on the door prior with form that would win this. Like him coming back to 1450m and drawn perfectly, he should take a power of catching. COSTA PAROS (4) was unplaced on debut then last start finished third over 1300m at Ararat after being prominent at the corner. Can improve again now and prove hard to hold out. OPEN BAR (7) is a gelding by Proisir and out of the dam Brookbars on debut for the Busuttin & Young yard. Have to respect off a solid jumpout. PUNIC WAR (8) hasn't been far away in recent efforts and has claims third-up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Neverenoughlego to break through.
3 02:50 Carlton Draught Maiden Plate 1600m
Little early speed on offer so Fiorente Rules should be prominent. PIERRE LE QUILL (4) was okay last time at Donald when drawing very wide and getting too far back, finishing fifth. The run prior at Echuca was a cracker when charging into second and while 1600m is a query, he's racing as if it will suit. STOLE HIM (5) is a gelding by Alpine Eagle on debut for the Warren yard. His recent jumpouts have been solid and this looks a nice race for him from a good draw. FIORENTE RULES (6) ran a fair race on debut last time out, beaten 4.5 lengths into seventh over 1500m at Mornington, not beaten all that far. She can improve off that and be competitive here. WEST FORTY SEVENTH (3) hasn't fired in two runs to date but this will be much easier than last time at Ballarat. STYLE GUIDE (7) was awful last time but the fresh run was okay, she could sneak a placing.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Pierre Le Quill to win.
4 03:20 Tyrepower Shepparton BM62 Handicap 1600m
Good early pressure with Hydrogen Power or Emmcee likely to take up the running. AKA DAKA (8) is racing consistently and looks nicely placed in this. He beat one with consistent form to break his maiden two back at Ararat, okay last time on wet ground at Pakenham in a tougher race last time. This should suit better and he maps for every chance. FRONTLINE ACTION (1) resumes. He's a handy type who contested some strong 3yo races last time in, placing in the Mahogany Challenge Final at Flemington over 2500m. He looks a bit dour for this trip but class will take him a long way. CHOSEN VENTURE (10) was poor at Donald last time and struggles to win but prior form has him thereabouts. MAID IN DUBAI (5) may be better suited back in trip.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Aka Daka to win.
5 04:00 Kevin Hicks Real Estate Fillies & Mares BM56 Handicap 1450m
Plenty of speed with Adki, Cumbrian Queen and Snappy Pierro leading Here Comes Ruby and Darra Linen. HONEY MAKER (6) broke through for a narrow maiden win last time out at Pakenham and can keep the ball rolling. She'd been threatening to win one and this looks a very sensible option, barely harder than that maiden she won last start. EVERETT (5) is finding it tough to crack another win, okay last time in this grade at Ararat having placed in three runs prior. She's consistent however and should run another strong race. HERE COMES RUBY (1) resumes. She was last seen winning a decent maiden over 2000m at Mornington and may have improved now into her second preparation. This looks a good trip for her to resume at. CUMBRIAN QUEEN (7) is racing well and draws for every chance up on speed. She should be right there. SNAPPY PIERRO (4) was too good for a 0-56 field last time and has claims off that.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Honey Maker to win.
6 04:30 Mon Natural Foods BM56 Handicap 1000m
Plenty of pace from Simply Luscious, Bokeem and Boudica Warrior vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. MR MARKLE (5) resumes. He didn't fire in three runs last time in, okay fresh in a much stronger race in town before striking two wet tracks and hating the conditions. He's still lightly raced and his best form looks very strong for this with conditions to suit. EL SALTO (1) is an 8yo with 85 starts under the belt. He doesn't win out of turn but is ticking along okay and ran well for a narrow fourth at Donald last time out. His best is good enough. WAREO ROAD (7) resumes having run a solid race fresh at Swan Hill last time in. He can mix his form a bit but gets Harry Coffey aboard and should run well. SIMPLY LUSCIOUS (10) has rough claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Mr Markle to win.
7 05:05 bet365 Same Race Multi Fillies & Mares BM56 Handicap 1100m
Keen tempo with Juice Box and Lady Maestro prominent. OLIVIA'S SCANDAL (5) goes on top to close out the card. She's racing in ultra-consistent form and is rarely far away, She just missed when last seen at Donald, going down by a nose and this won't take any more winning if she gets some luck from the wide gate. TRAK CHILLER (10) resumes for a new yard. She didn't fire last preparation but her older form would see her well placed in this and she might be worth keeping an eye on if the market likes her. MISSISSIPPI MILLER (7) can mix her form, solid at Donald last time having been close up at Kyneton prior. She looks a good each way hope. SEATTLE HOPE (8) was poor last time but is right in this on the second placing at Echuca prior. JUICE BOX (1) has been solid in two runs since coming down from Darwin and is in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Olivia's Scandal to win.
