SUPAGAS MAIDEN PLATE 1890m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Dwayne. GOLDEN SMILE (10) has been very genuine in three starts this campaign and should handle anything sodden. Back to home track and up in trip rates a genuine threat. DWAYNE (3) has held his own in three starts this time in and two recent runs at a mile give him a tough legs edge. With a four-kilo drop looks all set for a winning effort. TEMPRANILLO (12) fought on well first up as an untapped talent. Jumps sharply in trip here but can pay to follow. SO SUAVE (7) could surprise at odds after a trial and mid-distance run of late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Golden Smile each way. |

BOTTLEMART CG&E MAIDEN PLATE 1250m
Chiba has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. RUSTEMO (10) got to the line in good style first up and should appreciate the added trip. Senior rider going on ticks another box and with the scratchings this thins down to be a very winnable race. Think this chance can be taken. CHIBA (3) was plain first up but showed better last campaign. On pace type with a draw that suits and this is the right race to improve in. CIFONELLI (4) clearly needed the experience on debut. Put away after that and resumes here having trialled nicely a couple of times. Can be much better this time around. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rustemo gets the right race. |

AUSURE HOSPITALITY F&M MAIDEN PLATE 1250m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Cuesta leading the way. BLUE WILLOW (2) was only eased into the race late first up when making up good ground. Despite another drift-back draw shapes up as a major contender this time. LUNAITE (5) held off all but one first up and that race has thrown up a city maiden winner since. Wide draw the only knock second up. SKETCH (12) wasn’t beaten far in a strong race on debut and gets a soft draw to play with. A senior rider steers her into each-way territory. HABERFIELD (4) will be big odds but showed potential in her debut campaign. Wet track brings her into it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blue Willow can win this. |

IMPACT BUILDING MIDWAY BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1890m
November Falls should spear straight to the front of the small field. NOVEMBER FALLS (4) fought on well at this track and trip last start. Finds a low-risk draw with race fitness in his favour. On a wet track can notch up an overdue win. Will get few better chances to break back into the winners circle. FLYING STEP (10) loves it wet and has been placed at his past two starts. With a cute draw he looms as the biggest threat to the selection. BINKOU (3) is a hard horse to catch but races well at this track and trip. Going to be around the mark with GENERAL SOHO (2). SUGGESTED PLAY: Looks the day for November Falls. |

THE TOOHEYS NEW PLATE SUPER MAIDEN HANDICAP 1500m
Moderate tempo with The Beast leading the way. BACKWARD GLANCE (7) was tough to the wire in a solid provincial effort last start and peaks third up. No wet track worries and only has to run the added trip to go close. PIERONIMO (10) made up a stack of ground first up at Scone and the added trip is ideal. With two kilos less and safer draw just go grab some. THE BEAST (1) will want longer trips but lobs into a very winnable race resuming. Has been sharp enough in two recent trials to bet with confidence here. MILLIE DE LUNE (8) didn’t see much clear air first up and strips fitter. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backward Glance each-way. |

BIDFOOD NEWCASTLE BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1500m
Reasonable tempo with Order To Charge probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. BRUTAL BOWLER (6) backs up quickly after chasing home an in-form galloper at this track last week. Has the rightt form to run well again in a winnable race. Goes on top of TAPA KICK (3) who has been given a freshen up and only missed a cheque once in fourteen starts. Fresh record is strong and is a versatile galloper. Hard to hold out despite the weight and a wide draw. SCHOLL DEEP (13) is the other one that is going to be well fancied. Finished off strongly when beaten under a length last time here. Worth considering again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Brutal Bowler top pick. |

PITCHER PARTNERS NEWCASTLE & HUNTER PROVINCIAL BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1250m
A small field that lacks a pacemaker. FIRST PERSON (9) is having her runs well spaced this time in and is a proven wet track galloper. Drawn well and only knock is a longer trip. Suspect she gets home with this unlikely to be a high pressure race and that leaves her clear top pick. EDMOND (6) isn’t getting any younger but recent trials have been sharp. Think he can be the main danger ahead of CONTRIBUTING FACTOR (3) who was sound off a little gap between runs last time. NOSEY PARKER (1) comes back a notch or two which helps. SUGGESTED PLAY: First Person to win this one. |

MCCAIN SURECRISP CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1300m
Shambretta and Reducio have the pace to take up the running at a solid tempo. If MISS SPACEGIRL (16) gets a run she’s ideally placed. Slightly back in trip via strong recent races is real deal material and the main dangers that were lining up behind her all come away in the scratchings. Its left on a platter for her and dount she makes a meal of it. REDUCIO (6) stands her ground and is left as the real challenge to the selection. She looks to have her limitations but she has been consistent to date and can put herself in the right spot. LADY SAVANNAH (8) resumes with some hope. May need the run but she did win her maiden on soft ground around here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Spacegirl win. |
