QUEENSLAND ELECTRICAL SOLUTIONS BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1000m
Sea Commits to take charge ahead of Bundella at a strong tempo. BUNDELLA (3) broke through for a well-deserved maiden win here 16 days ago when racing handy to the pace and then proving to be too tough in the run home, scoring by 2 lengths with plenty left in hand at the finish. He is good enough to win again immediately. ULUWATU (6) made some solid progress last year and will be a lot stronger this year. She won a recent trial, and with the benefit of a 3kg claim, she can give this a shake. RUSSIAN DIVA (2) is a very versatile mare who handles any track conditions. She won her last start at a recent Goondiwindi picnic meeting, and another honest effort can be expected. Include in all combinations. XERRI (1) is handy on his day and is capable of figuring in the finish at some value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bundella to win. |

SUBZERO AIRCONDITIONING Class 1 Handicap 1200m
Genuine tempo with Knowitall Frank kicking up on the inside with Gidday Gidday working over from the wide draw. GIDDAY GIDDAY (5) had a few things in her favour when leading all the way to break through for a well-deserved maiden win here 3 weeks ago, scoring by over a length. She cops a much tougher gate this time, but is still well weighted after a 3kg claim, and she can figure in the top 3 again. GAZZA'S DIAMOND (8) kicked on strongly after being headed here as favourite last time out, finishing fourth. She has a tricky gate this time, but won't lack fitness, and is worth including in all multiples. LOVE TO ALL (10) was a big maiden winner here in her penultimate start, but did nothing at Ipswich last time out. She needs a strong pace to show her best, and should not be dropped just yet. Each way value. MOOD KILLER (11) ran a much better race when finishing runner-up here last time out. He can hold his form now. Each way. KNOWITALL FRANK (16) won on debut, and he will be suited by the pole position. Stick with him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Love To All each way. |

SEDL AGENCIES BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 870m
Expecting a strong gallop with Surreal Ascot and Hidden Melody taking up the running over Bauhinia Rock.
BAUHINIA ROCK (3) won both of his first 2 starts last prep on this track before weakening late after setting the pace at Eagle Farm in a tougher field near the end of December before having a well-earned spell. He resumes at the right level and will be even stronger this year. He comes to hand quickly, and though the 870m is short of his best, he can still muster enough speed early on, and take this out. RUBY JULY (1) is a very capable mare on her day, and she has won over this trip in the past. She has won 5 of her 7 starts fresh up in the past, and is not out of this. Each way. SURREAL ASCOT (5) is a very pacy mare who made some solid progress last prep. She can make full use of the pole position, and after a 3kg claim, she only gets to carry 52kg. Watch closely. HIDDEN MELODY (7) is another handy mare who would have matured over her spell. She was second in a recent trial, and with the advantage of a good draw, she can make her presence felt fresh up in an even contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ruby July each way. |

WIN TELEVISION Maiden Handicap 1300m
Expecting Power Of Success to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. MARAVILLAS (2) was third in his first start from the Mark Currie stable and has won a trial here before that. He will be spot on with his fitness third up, and with 3kg less to carry this time, he will be hard to hold out. BEANS MEANS (4) has been trying to win a race for some time but is still only lightly tried for a 6-year-old gelding. He cops a wide gate but carries 3kg less this time, which should help offset his wide draw. Stick with him on an each-way basis. COLONEL PARKER (8) was second as favourite at Dalby 25 days ago when resuming from a spell. He has been in the money in all 3 starts on this course, and another honest effort can be expected. Follow your money. POWER OF SUCCESS (3) showed a lot of courage to finish a head back in third fresh up on this track 3 weeks ago after forcing the pace. He strips fitter and can pick up a win at short notice. HIDEYOSHI (7) made up some late ground when finishing fifth on debut and will appreciate an extra 100m to travel this time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Maravillas to win. |

PLATINUM GLASS & SECURITY Maiden Plate 1050m
El Quinto to take up the running at a moderate tempo.
GERALDINE'S WISH (5) ran some good races last prep and ended her campaign with a solid effort for second here earlier in the season. She has been given a decent spell and will be a lot stronger this year. She has not been seen at any public trials, and if she doesn't need the run, she can have a say in the outcome of this contest. WEATHER (3) set the pace here fresh up and only weakened late, finishing fourth. He strips fitter and though he has copped a nasty gate, he can still cross early, and be hard to peg back again. LUVTOKNOW (6) is heading the right way with her form and was only claimed late after setting the pace at Beaudesert 8 days ago, finishing second by a head. The winkers go on, and she can go one better. SPRUCE (7) needed her first run back from a spell on a heavy track here just over 5 weeks ago and can improve second up with the aid of a 3kg claim. She has some ability and can pick up a win at short notice. SUGGESTED PLAY: Weather each way. |

TAYLOR BUILDING GROUP BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1300m
Without a great deal of early pace evident Speed Map may lead the way over Celestial Harbour. CELESTIAL HARBOUR (4) can't be faulted in this prep and is usually thereabouts at this level. He has a home track advantage and is well worth including in all combinations. FREEMAN (9) finished runner-up when resuming from a spell for new trainer Mark Currie and then came home with a rush to score here 6 days ago. If this race has not come too soon for her, then she can double the dose. SPEED MAP (2) is normally competitive at this level and led for a long way at Doomben 10 days ago before being claimed late and finishing third. He is down slightly in class and can make a winning track debut. RYLOV (7) did not handle the poly track at the Gold Coast last time out and is expected to finish a lot closer on the turf here. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rylov each way. |

HAPPY 21ST MASON LINDSAY Class 2 Handicap 1890m
Genuine tempo from By By Bean leading Loyalty Counts.
MEDICAL AUTOCRAT (3) fought on bravely when finishing third here just over 2 weeks ago and has been holding his form well enough this year. He handles any track conditions and is overdue for his next win. SMOKIN MATCH (5) ran on late after making a slow start at the Gold Coast on the poly track there last time out. Both of his career wins have been on this track, and with a return to the turf, he can bounce straight back into the money. LIZZIE'S PRIDE (7) closed off her run strongly here just over 2 weeks ago and raced into second place. There will be no fitness concerns with her after having 3 runs back from a spell, and with the aid of a 2kg claim, she can have the last say this time. LINDA'S MAGIC (13) has finished third in each of her 3 starts this prep and has improved in each of them. She drops 4kg from her last start, and is good enough to take out a race like this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lizze's Pride each way. |
