NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:44 GLENROY CHAFF HANDICAP 1000m
Small field but Niccimota, Lucky I Am and Desert Whisper can ensure a genuine tempo. KAY TEE WHY (3) won here fresh up when clearing his maiden status against winning horses and was then only narrowly beaten by a head on this track 7 weeks ago. The recent freshen-up would have done him no harm, and he will be hard to hold again in the small field. HAIDA GWAII (5) franked some impressive lead-up trials with an easy win from on the pace here just over a fortnight ago. He is up in class, but carries the same weight, and she can take the next step immediately. DESERT WHISPER (2) made progress last prep, and she does like to run along in front. She looked in great nick when winning a recent Belmont trial, and with the aid of a 2kg claim, she should be hard to peg back fresh up. LUCKY I AM (6) is only a maiden but has been showing a lot of courage in her races, finishing runner-up for the third time this year on this track behind the second pick last time out. She has a good gate and won't be a maiden for much longer.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Kay Tee Why to win.
2 12:19 MORLEY GROWERS MARKET HANDICAP 1400m
Looks has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. FLAGSHIP (7) won his maiden as expected here in his penultimate start over 1200m and then raced too keenly over 1000m on this track 2 weeks ago. The key here is the extra 400m, and with a slight drop in class, he can bounce straight back into the money. BONDI PLUNGE (5) was close up when resuming from a spell and then challenged strongly on this track last time out, finishing third. She is a very consistent mare who has never missed a cheque in 4 starts third up in the past. She has the advantage of the pole position and deserves another winning turn. PLATINUM SHOT (4) has yet to win on this track but has been placed in 4 of her 6 starts here. She has William Pike in the saddle this time and only needs the right trip to break her duck. Stick with her. I AM SPARTACUS (1) has had some excuses in his last couple of starts, and this durable veteran did show at Esperance 3 starts back that he still has a zest for racing. Include in all combinations to be safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Platinum Shot each way.
3 12:54 ROGAN JOSH STAKES 2100m
Expecting a strong gallop with Filthy Habits and Iowa taking up the running over Bambun Boy. FILTHY HABITS (3) has been making solid progress through the grades this year and gave nothing else a chance when leading all the way to win a good race at Albany nearly a fortnight ago. He is ready to take the next step, and with 5kg less to carry, he can get the job done again. CURRIMUNDI (1) won the Pinjarra Cup by a head in his penultimate start and then may have needed his last start here in this grade over 1800m 15 days ago. He has less time between starts leading into this assignment, and he can bounce straight back into the money. IOWA (2) set the pace here last time out and was only run down inside the final furlong. He has won 3 of his 5 starts third up in the past and is ready to win again at short notice. BLAZING AWAY (6) has yet to fire this year but does have a good record on this track over 2100m. He is down in weight and a form reversal would not be a big shock.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Filthy Habits to win.
4 01:29 PETALUMA HANDICAP 1000m
Expecting Richanco to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. BLACK ORA (8) made it 2 wins on the bounce this prep when scoring by nearly a length here 2 weeks ago. This field is not that much stronger, and with half a kilo less to carry, she can complete the hat-trick. ESPRIT GARCON (2) did not race up to expectations in 2 starts in the spring, he started as favourite on both of those occasions and will be better for having a spell. He comes to hand quickly, and if right, he will be hard to hold out. Use the market as your best guide. KEEP ITA MYSTERY (3) has been racing well at his level in his last 3 starts, and all 3 of his wins have been over 1000m. He is likely to settle back early on, and once the gaps appear, he can hit the line strongly. Each way. RICHANCO (7) made some solid progress last year and is resuming from a spell that would have done him the world of good. He won a recent Lark trial, and with the advantage of the pole position, he can give this a shake.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Esprit Garcon each way.
5 02:09 PKF PERTH PLATE 1100m
Good speed anticipated with a large representation of first starters lining up. CAPITOLA (1) has yet to fire in 3 starts since resuming from a spell and will be sliding down from Stakes class. He has won a Belmont trial by 6 lengths since his last run here 3 weeks ago, and if he runs up to that form, then he can bounce back into winning form here. NOW YOU SEE ME (4) resumed with a big run for third at long odds here 15 days ago. He will be better for the run and is capable of another bold effort, but don't expect another fancy price. DON'T WINK (7) finished fourth on debut in the G3 Gimcrack Stakes here 3 weeks ago. She will improve naturally second-up, and in an easier contest, she can figure in the top 3 this time. Include in all combinations. DIAMOND WARRIOR (2) won a trial before producing a big run to finish fifth in the Perth Stakes 3 weeks ago over this trip. He is bred to improve with racing, and is another promising type, with each-way claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Capitola to win.
6 03:00 TABTOUCH - WESTSPEED PLATINUM AUTUMN SERIES HEAT 2 1200m
Sky Duke has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. The first leg of the quaddie is over 1200m, and SNIPPY WHICH (2) will be a must include for all tickets after he finished fourth fresh up here just over 2 weeks ago. He would have gone close to winning that race had he not missed the start, and with an even beginning this time, he will be hard to hold out. OCEAN GODDESS (9) ran on late in tight quarters last time out and finished fifth. She has a better draw this time, and if the gaps come at the right time, she can bounce straight back into the money. Each way. VALDARENA (5) ran some good races last season and will be resuming from a decent spell. She looked in forward condition when placed in a recent trial, and she will be ready to run a race. Watch the markets closely. SKY DUKE (1) has been racing consistently since winning here in February. He was third as favourite here 15 days ago over 1000m, and with an extra furlong to travel, he will be among the hardest to beat. Follow your money.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ocean Goddess each way.
7 03:35 PETERS INVESTMENTS HANDICAP 1800m
Pace only fair with Endless Joy rolling to the lead ahead of Chantel and Redback Flyer. REDBACK FLYER (9) has come into his own in his last couple of starts with a pair of easy wins at Pinjarra on both courses there. He was runner-up on this track when resuming from a spell and will relish stepping up to a middle distance for the first time. He drops 3kg and the hat-trick beckons. BAYHARA (3) found the right race at Geraldton 10 days ago and unleashed with a quick turn of foot to score by over 7 lengths. This race is much harder, but a similar performance would make her hard to beat again. AUDIO BOY (2) is a consistent gelding who caught the eye with a solid late run to finish fourth at Pinjarra-Scarpside 8 days ago. William Pike steps into the irons for the first time, and the pair merits healthy respect.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Bayhara each-way.
8 04:13 MCA POLYTRACK HANDICAP 1200m
Nobellity should find the front with Golden Vale and Blue Rocket on her heels. STORMCHASER (1) was put aside after having 1 start in the spring, and for whatever reason, he is only having his second start this season. He showed a stack of ability as a 3-year-old, and only has to reproduce that sort of form, to be hard to beat in this fresh up. Use the market as your best guide. DEAMBER (8) raced well through a spring campaign and was beaten by a nose in her last run before having a break. She will be a lot stronger this year and has been placed twice fresh up in the past. She has a good record on this track and would not be a shock winner. GOLDEN VALE (6) is a very handy filly who has been holding her own since winning here at the beginning of February. She was only a neck from the winner here 2 weeks ago over 1000m, and with the advantage of the pole position, she can go one better. BLUE ROCKET (7) is another versatile filly who has been in good form. She drops 3kg from her last start effort for third, and William Pike sticks with her. Each-way all day.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Blue Rocket each-way.
9 04:50 BELHUS RACING JOIN A RACING SYNDICATE HANDICAP 1500m
Genuine tempo from Our Rocky Bay leading Stylish Lord. An even BM66+ will end the day, and an even lineup will run over 1500m. We like STYLISH LORD (3), who can't be faulted this year with his form. He set them up here 2 weeks ago and was only claimed late, finishing second by half a length. He has 100m less to travel this time and can take them all the way. GOLDEN DORE (6) capped off some fine form with a well-deserved win by a nose at Albany nearly 2 weeks ago. He can handle any track conditions, and another honest effort can be expected. OUR ROCKY BAY (2) stuck to his task gamely when finishing third here 2 weeks ago. He is likely to race close to the pace and should be right in the finish again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Stylish Lord each-way.
