Sportsbet Jockey Watch Maiden Plate 1200m
Expecting a solid pace with Seminara, Mofferno and Giuliano leading the charge. MISS PANTHERLOT (7) has been steadily improving with each run this prep and was second at Clare nearly 2 weeks ago. She has a good draw and can go one better in this. SEMINARA (9) has been trying to win a race for a long time and should be suited by the pole position. She has been in the money 3 times over the trip, and is worth including in all combinations. MOFFERNO (8) is resuming from a spell, and her best effort came on debut at Penola. She was close up in a recent trial and with the blinkers on for the first time, she can take this out fresh up. TURFACTION (3) is a Victorian-trained gelding who did nothing fresh up at Geelong 3 weeks ago. He has a good draw and will finish a lot closer in this easier company. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mofferno each-way. |

Bordertown Stone Supplies Maiden Plate 1200m
A distinct absence of early speed so don't expect any records to be broken. DISCO TALK (6) is resuming from a spell of over 2 years and must have been in work for some time as she looked in good condition when finishing third in a trial early in April. She has a good draw and will give this a shake. The market will be your best guide. QUEEN CALANTHE (7) ran out of puff late at Horsham last start and will be a lot sharper on a 6-day backup. A good draw will help, and with 4.5kg less to carry, she can have a say in the outcome of this race. SMOKIN' EYES (12) ran her best race yet when finishing on strongly for third at Clare last time out. She will continue to improve with racing and is worth including in all multiples. REIBY PRINCESS (8) has been trying to break through for some time and could be best on a wet track. Rochelle Milnes picks up the ride. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Queen Calanthe each-way. |

McCarthy Transport Maiden Plate 1550m
Plenty of pressure primarily from Mimetic Desire, The Last Flash and Zouhoff. HOT STRUT (7) copped a tough trip off a wide gate at Oakbank last time out and kept on coming, finishing second as favourite over 1400m. She is perfectly placed over 1550m from a superior draw, and can break through for an overdue maiden win. SAINT BOOM (12) is heading the right way with her form and will be peaking third up. If this race has not come too soon for her, 7 days later, then she can go one better. LET IT RIDE (1) only battled over 1400m last time out and is better suited by 1550m. He was only beaten by a head 3 starts back at Penola, and a repeat of that effort would see him in the finish here. ZOUHOFF (6) fought on gamely to finish sixth at Clare nearly a fortnight ago and is stepping up 450m for this assignment. He is seasoned enough to cope with any track conditions and can figure in the finish again. TOFINO (5) did not have all the favours last time out when finishing on late for fifth. The extra 150m will suit him, and is another with each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Let It Ride each-way. |

Harpers Freight Rating 0 - 54 Handicap 1550m
They should run this along with Pricilla's Choice and Glacies Heart taking it up over Punchin. SUPREME THUNDER (3) won in this grade at Naracoorte in his penultimate start and then was fifth in a slightly tougher class at Penola 12 days ago. He has a tricky draw but is not too badly treated at the weights. He is honest and is at his best on good ground. Stick with him. HEADSMART (6) is a durable veteran who has been thereabouts without winning for some time. He was a beaten favourite last time out and drops 2kg in weight after a claim for this assignment, and can make amends. Follow your money. PRICILLA'S CHOICE (8) has not run up to expectations in 3 starts since leading all the way to score at Oakbank in March. The blinkers are off for the first time, and with the aid of a 3kg claim, she is worth another chance. HARBOURING (1) is another tough veteran, and he will be peaking third up from a spell. He is down in class from his last run, and can put his best hoof forward in this. Don't risk him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Harbouring each-way. |

Woolshed Inn Benchmark 66 Handicap 1100m
Expecting Rising Legend to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. SHISUTA BO (5) made good progress last prep and has been given a freshen-up that would have done her no harm. She has yet to race below 1200m, but only needs a good track to make her presence felt fresh up. Use the market as your best guide. LUNAR SOLAR (7) is proving to be hard to catch and has been battling to find her best for some time. She won her only start on this track, and with a drop back in class from her last start, she can rediscover some form again. Include in all combinations. MISS KERMIE (8) was second fresh up in this company, and her last couple of starts have been in a higher class. She is better placed in this and can have a say in the finish. SUNZOU (2) is the best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shisuta Bo each-way. |

Brandt Rating 0 - 54 Handicap 1100m
Expecting Love For Us to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. PINCHBECK (3) has needed both of his starts back from a spell and probably found the testing heavy track at Penola too tough to handle 12 days ago. The drop back to 1200m will suit him, and he is ready now to put his best hoof forward. MY TRUTH (1) has been battling to find his best and is dropping down to a distance below 1200m for the first time in his career. He is also easing in class, and on a wet track, he would not be the worst each-way option at a price. EASTSIDE DIAMOND (11) stuck to her task gamely at Oakbank 11 days ago and is likely to settle back early on in this. If the gaps come at the right time, she can run into a top 3 finish. ROYAL TELEPHONE (5) has improved in her last couple of starts by racing close to the pace. A good draw and a 3kg claim will help him here. Don't risk him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pinchbeck each-way. |

Sportsbet Make it Look Easy Rating 0 - 54 Handicap 1100m
Genuine tempo with Broadway Lane and The Mariner pressing for the lead. DYLAN'S LAD (2) dropped in class second up and delivered as expected when scoring by a short-head at Clare nearly 2 weeks ago. He won't find this much harder, and with a 3kg claim, he will carry only half a kilo more than last time. Go again. RODNEY (3) is a durable veteran who still has a zest for racing. He was a month between runs when finishing sixth at Balaklava last time out and will be a lot sharper with less time before this assignment. A 3kg claim will help, and he can bounce straight back into the money. PARACHUTER (7) weakened late after leading and finishing fifth in the same race behind the top pick last start. She is better placed over 1100m, and if she can muster speed early, then she could be hard to peg back. BASE OF FIRE (1) was beaten by a wide draw fresh up at Murray Bridge over 900m. He usually improves with racing, and with the advantage of the pole position, he can figure in the top 3 this time. CROWN MOSHE (11) is another with first 4 claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dylan's Lad to win. |

Border Blinds Benchmark 58 Handicap 2000m
Good early pressure with Tallawah or Mangione likely to take up the running. BADONKIDONK (1) is usually consistent at this level, and he does perform well on this track, including 2 wins. He was sixth at Oakbank last time out in a higher grade, and was a winner at Naracoorte before that. He handles any track conditions and can take this out. ZAIN PRINCE (4) was less than 2 lengths from the winner when finishing fifth as favourite in a stronger field at Oakbank nearly 2 weeks ago. He is up in weight, but will find this easier, and won't be far away. Follow your money. TAKE A PICK (3) won fresh up for a new trainer at Murray Bridge over 1400m, and the only surprise that day was the price that he paid. He tries a middle distance for the first time, but can repeat the dose. VIVACIOUS AWARD (10) is a very versatile mare who is nicely placed at this level. Each-way value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Take A Pick each-way. |

Creaser Constructions Benchmark 60 Handicap 1550m
Solid tempo anticipated with Dark Lager taking charge. IT'SBRUCE (2) won fresh up by a short head in a slightly easier field at Strathalbyn 3 weeks ago when letting down with a fast finish, courtesy of a good ride. He only has to carry an extra kilo and will relish the extra furlong. Hard to beat again. BANGERANG REDBACK (1) had a tough trip last time out and fought on bravely to finish fifth. He will enjoy stepping up from 1400m to 1550m and can bounce back into the money. Include in all multiples. HEAD OF THE HERD (8) flipped his form around when winning by half a length at Strathalbyn 3 weeks ago. He cops another wide draw and can be hard to catch, but if he can produce a similar effort to last time, then he can't be ruled out of another win. LITTLEBITCHEEKY (11) was a last-start winner who can measure up again. SUGGESTED PLAY: It'sbruce to win. |
