DUTCHESS D'ORANGE (7) resumed from a spell last start and stayed on well when third of 10 against males over this distance on the turf last time. She gets the cheekpieces fitted which should keep her mind on the task at hand and may be the one to side with. GENTEEL (1) was disappointing over 1400m last time. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and on previous form, she should pose a threat. OH MANDY (2) made late ground when fourth over 1600m on this course last time. She will enjoy the rise to 1900m and with luck in the running, she should be competitive. HAT MONTERA (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1900m at Fairview, finishing fifth. Nicely placed to return to form. |

HOLOCENE (1) is one of the better bets on today's card. He ran a fair race when fifth over this distance on the turf last time. He drops back in class. He is drawn wide in barrier nine but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give him all the necessary assistance needed from the saddle. HOSPICES DE BEAUNE (6) found betting support when winning his last start over this course and distance. He takes on stronger rivals but is in a good space and should give a good account of himself. FEARLESS BADGER (10) ran a fair race when fifth over 2000m on the turf last time. He was tightened leaving the start but stayed on well at the finish. In this field, he should be fighting out the finish. KOHANA (4) returns from a long spell and tackles a synthetic track for the first time. Expected to return in good order and can place. |

SWISS WALT (6) was an easy winner of his last start over 1000m on this course. He jumps from pole position and merits healthy respect. ORIGINAL COPY (3) was disappointing in her first run out of the maidens. She has plenty of scope and she tries the polytrack. If taking to the surface, she may show signs of a form return. TRAVEL MASTER (2) won a game race over this course and distance last time. He returns from a spell and if not in need of this run he should finish in the money. |

USA'S HOPE (4) resumes today after placing second of 10 at his only start last prep at Fairview over 1200m. Should be prominent from the outset and is in the mix. |

ALWAYS SHINING (1) was touched off in his last start over 1400m on the turf. He has finished second once and third once from three starts on this course. Each-way claims. LIGHTNINGFORK (2) is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw of seven, and he will be staying on well at the business end. In the mix.
