Bold Response and Jessup have good gate speed and can pave the way. Tricky race. BOLD RESPONSE (1) has a big weight, tempered somewhat by the 4kg claimer. Don't love backing them with such little experience but he's better than this grade. He tried hard behind a Mornington 1000m specialist in Bazaball Rewarded first up and this is much easier. Assume the tactics will be to go handlebars down to the front and hope to cling on late, which he can do. ASIATIC (12) is one that can be flying late. She was just fair in a Class 1 at Pakenham last time but had been good winning her maiden here fresh and that form has worked out. Just not sure where she gets to. EVERY LITTLE THING (14) ran well fresh at Mornington for third. Stays at the same trip which is a little niggle but has each-way claims. DIVINE JUSTICE (8) resumes with a decent profile and this is easier than what she was facing last time in. JESSUP (4) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bold Response on top.
