Magnetic Island to take up the running with Up The Creek and Wanna Kiss close at hand. SAK THE WRITER (2) is a maiden galloper resuming today after a spell of six months. Closed last campaign with a fifth over 1400m at Rockhampton, beaten only 1.5 lengths. Fitter for three trials, placing most recently. Rates among the leading chances. WANNA KISS (3) stepped out for the first time last start and was just fair in finishing fifth at Kilcoy over 1200m, beaten 4 lengths. Progressive type who can play a role in the finish. UP THE CREEK (1) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at Beaudesert, beaten 4.5 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Strips fitter now and is sure to find some form. MAGNETIC ISLAND (5) finished 2.25 lengths away in fifth at her last appearance over 1100m at Toowoomba on November 29. Among the chances in what looks a nice race for her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 2,3,1,5.
