Good pressure from the outset with Itoje, Rosesrred and He's All Fabulous taking up the running over Mister Meaner and Helluvah Return. INTOXICATED (4) showed a good turn of foot when breaking her status maiden last time out, scoring by a head over 1600m at Tauranga 10 days ago. He is a very progressive gelding who can take the next step immediately. ROSESRRED (8) gave a great sight for a long way last start, and was only run down late, finishing second over 1400m at this track. She doesn't have to lead here, and with the right run, she can figure in the top 3 again. MISTER MEANER (6) was beaten but far from disgraced in a strong field over 1600m at Ellerslie 5 weeks ago. The form of that race has been franked multiple times, and this gelding should not be underestimated. ITOJE (10) ran on too late when finishing second over 1600m at Trentham 3 weeks ago. She is peaking at the right time, and another honest effort is on the cards. SACRED ZED (9) has found form since joining the Kevin Myers stable, and rattled home late to finish second at Waverley nearly 2 weeks ago. Stick with him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mister Meaner at some each-way value.
