Pace only fair with Britten rolling to the lead ahead of Iori and Tenderly. IORI (7) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1200m at Niigata. Finds an easier assignment and can find winning form. IMMORTEL (4) last appeared six-and-a-half weeks ago over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt when he finished tenth. This is his first run for the Shoichi Hirata stable. One of the genuine hopes in the race. BRITTEN (5) has not raced since he finished fourth over 1400m at this track on July 11. A bold showing is expected. TENDERLY (3) last appeared four weeks ago over 1500m at Nagoya when he finished seventh. This is his first run for the Yutaka Nagatomo stable. Can be an improver.
