Dir Brand and Noisetier are both expected to press forward and take it up. HIMALAYA VELOZ (4) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 5 lengths over 1400m at Mizusawa as favourite. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with two wins from three starts. Can measure up again. DIR BRAND (1) made progress last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1400m at Mizusawa after being in contention on the corner. Looks well placed so expect another big run. COVENANT (6) was safely held in better company two runs back then appreciated the easier grade last time, scoring over 1300m at Mizusawa. Finds a suitable assignment and is among the leading chances. KURINO FLORENCE (8) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago but was less impressive last time out when second over 1400m at Mizusawa, beaten 6 lengths. Nicely placed to play a leading role.
