Festive Menoko can slide across and take up the running in a race devoid of early pace. FESTIVE MENOKO (11) held on well to finish second when first-up from a break last time out over 1400m at this track after leading for much of the way. Will go forward again and looks tough to beat. MONGOLIAN KING (9) missed the placings two starts back when resuming then ran a better race when he worked home well and finished 2.75 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1400m at this track. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. NOBU (1) is progressing well this preparation. Opened with a sixth at this track two starts back then landed the prize by 0.8 lengths last time out over 1400m at this track. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. HIRATO MITCHI (10) turned in a strong performance first-up when in the money at this track but disappointed last time when sixth, beaten 4.5 lengths, at this track over 1400m. Best figures measure up nicely. Solid top-three prospects.
