Keen speed battle, with Adviser, Honey Slider and Kakoda prominent. COMMANDER MEROO (13) settled well back last time out then found the line strongly to finish fifth over 1350m at Strathalbyn. Has solid peaks and can make a bright start for the new stable. ERION (10) fought on to score a narrow win at Bathurst over this track and trip last month. Freshened and is down in the weights this time so another big run is on the cards. DODGE THE DARK (15) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Cobar, finishing second and only a long neck from the winner at the end of 1370m. Facing a tougher assignment but he is among the key hopes. INVINCIBLE SALEX (2) was safely held at Warren, following a win at Bathurst at the previous outing. Best figures measure up, so is worth another chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Commander Meroo to win.
