Strong early tempo with Tiaki and Kostanuffin leading the way. THIRTY DEGREES (10) showed good tactical speed first-up at Scone but just lacked a fitness edge late when finishing third. Has enough dash to offset the wide alley and should prove tougher to reel in this time. MR CORNSTAR (1) has struggle to threaten in his last two when tackling tougher opponents over the 900m at Newcastle. Should find this easier and is at top fitness now. FORTIANS (14) was in contention on the bend and ran a better race last start to finish third over 1200m at Warren after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Backs up quickly but will need a smart steer from the wide alley. JACK THE BOSS (8) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.5 lengths from the winner in second over 1200m at Warren. Another forward showing is anticipated. SUGGESTED PLAY: Thirty Degrees to win.
