Reasonable tempo with Magick Media probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. Another tough one. THE NEGOTIATOR (3) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish fourth, beaten 0.8 lengths, over 1600m at Cranbourne. He'll need things to go his way from the inside gate but has the finishing burst to overhaul these. MILITARY BASE (4) returned from a spell three-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 3.5 lengths into fifth over 1100m at Pakenham. Lightly raced type who should improve and take beating. LADY ELSA (10) is a lightly raced galloper who is first-up since finishing tenth over 1408m at Werribee six months ago which was the only run of that prep. Has trialled nicely leading in and can do much better. GIVE SOME LIP (15) is going quite well in three runs this time in and can be finishing strongly. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Negotiator on top.
