Not much early speed of note and Jenni Bassett and Notiramisuforyou may find themselves setting a steady tempo. LOTTA CITY (5) looks well placed third up. She's placed in both runs back, battling on heavy ground at Mornington last time for third. Finds a nice race that lacks a bit of depth and should take plenty of beating. FRANKEL'S WORD (11) was in the market on debut in town and struggled on the heavy going. Gets gear changes made here and could turn things around quickly. REPRESENTATIVE (7) is a filly by Shamus Award on debut for the Begg yard who kicks off. Tough draw but respecting the top combination. JENNI BASSETT (4) was too bad to be true fresh at Geelong on heavy going, she could bounce back first go on synthetic. SUNSET TRAIL (14) is worth keeping an eye on at his local debut for the McDonald yard, especially given there's been early money. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lotta City to win.
