Without much in the way of early speed it might be left to Dr Davinci to take charge. DR DAVINCI (1) is going well and finds a nice race. He's placed in his past couple, boxing on nicely for third out to this trip at Seymour last time out. He gets every hope up on speed from a soft draw and looks the one to beat. SHINDY (11) is racing consistently, runner up in 4/5 starts this time in, just missing over 2000m at Pakenham on the turf. Off a let up back to a mile but she'll be strong late and very hard to hold out. BLANCHE BASS (8) resumes for a new yard having been about the mark in a few runs last time in. She's had a couple of goes on synthetic tracks and can run well fresh. NUMBERSNEVERSEEN (4) was okay last time at Swan Hill and can improve again while GAINSMONT (2) could also improve off an even debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dr Davinci to win.
