GALLIC VICTOR (9) produced a solid effort last time when fourth over 1200m at Greyville. Won at his only start at this longer journey. Right in the mix. TAM'S KNIGHT (11) was comfortably accounted for when fourth last time out over 1400m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. That followed a win at Greyville at the previous outing. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. BLUE STEEL (7) was last at the races when he finished fifth over 1400m at Greyville on March 22. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
