Expecting Inca Trail to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. INCA TRAIL (3) made it four top three finishes in a row when he led but found one better over this distance on the Sunshine Coast poly three weeks ago. Form here earlier in the campaign was hard to fault. Has the gate speed to get across from a tricky draw and should be right in the finish. ITALIAN RIVIERA (2) worked home fairly but was a long way back in third last time out over 1400m on the Sunshine Coast poly. Will be rock hard fit at the fourth run back from a spell and can improve further. DEMITASSE (5) had a break of 45 days then ran a much better race last start, getting home well for third over this distance at Toowoomba. Should tighten right up following that latest hit-out. ASK ME MATE (6) returned from a long spell with an eye-catching effort over 1200m here last time out. Can race closer from a much better gate. Recent trial winner who is a definite threat. NIGHTSTICK (4) strips fitter at the third run back from a spell and will enjoy a return to the turf. SUGGESTED PLAY: Inca Trail each-way.
