Mr Jay Eight and Diomedes will press forward in a keen battle for the lead. EIZUS (9) settled back from a wide gate when resuming at Otaki nearly 5 weeks ago and hit the line late, finishing fifth. She cops another tough draw, but if her top trainer lines her up, then she is ready to win. FLORIN (4) caught the eye with a late finish for fourth fresh up at Te Aroha just over a fortnight ago, and she normally improves quickly second up. She has won on this track in the past, and with a drop in grade, she can win this. RENOVATIONS (6) did not have much go her way in a decent field at Te Rapa last time out 6-days ago. The quick turnaround won't be an issue, and she is well worth another chance. Each way value. PINKERTON (8) finished runner-up when making his jumping debut at Trentham 9-days ago, and he will be sharpened up by that effort. He still retains enough dash on the flat to be very competitive in a field like this. SEVENAYES (1) can be hard to catch, but he has placed twice from as many starts on this track. Include.
