Plenty of pace from the outset with Hold My Drink and Mogo Rock leading the charge. HOLD MY DRINK (1) lightly raced gelding who returns from a long layoff. Never comfortable in the Soft 7 going at first run for the new yard with a tiring fourth over 1200m at Nowra last June. Returns with the good trial placing over 800m at Kembla Grange. Can put these away first-up from the inside draw. EAGLE CRESCENT (9) improving filly who covered ground early with a fighting fourth over 1400m at Wagga. Has the upside to play a leading role with the claim. INITIATE (4) has her hoof on the till third-up after the two sound minor placings. Doesn't get the same map favours today from the wide gate. Sure to be thereabouts. NORTH STAR MISS (13) has needed the two runs this time in to bring her to her top. Went back from the wide barrier and failed to get into the contest with a poor eighth over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Can race closer here and surprise at the good odds.
