Moderate tempo with Sabertooth leading the way. WARPARTY (2) resumed in stronger, beaten 1.5 lengths over 1200m at Ballarat. Was heavily bet, and the longer sprint suits. Has more up his sleeve, and Coffey replaces the 2kg apprentice. Best form puts him right in this. YOOMEE WONDER (5) is busting to win again and was good in town before her 1.4 lengths defeat over 1300m in a 70 at Cranbourne. Draws inside again, and John Allen goes aboard and has won on the mare. Faces an easier assignment and is a live chance. BAGANOV (3) came off a win at the Flemington jumpouts and was much too good for the Echuca Maidens over 1200m on debut. Was heavily bet and has jumped out again since. This is a step-up, but he races forward and has plenty of scope for improvement. STRIKE GOLD (1) has been racing in better company and has jumped out since his distance Seymour placing 38 days ago. Finally draws an inside barrier and has the ability. Keep onside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Warparty appeals most.
