TAISEI VAINQUEUR (11) has been going well this preparation, scoring last start over 1600m at this track to make it two wins from three runs this time in. Rates highly and expected to run well again. MATTHEW (1) went to the paddock after scoring at his only appearance last prep 11 weeks ago over 1400m at Urawa. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. GRAND PICNIC (4) finished ninth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1600m at this track, beaten a neck after being in contention on the bend. Looks well placed so expect another big run. JOSEPHINA (6) failed to threaten when fresh from a spell last time out, beaten 13 lengths into 18th over 2000m at Kokura. Has ability and shapes as a top-three chance.
