Big Steve and Casino Shaw should set a strong gallop. TASSALINA (2) sharp debut winner at Wagga over 1000m, then covered plenty of ground with a plugging fourth over 1100m at Cowra. Gets the gun run today and expected to go close. CASINO SHAW (5) consistent mare who came out quickly on resumption with a tough on-pace second over 1200m at Goulburn. Back in good order and has genuine top-three prospects from the low draw. KOOL BIRD (6) finally drawn a decent barrier after she savaged the line late with a tidy fifth over 1200m at Nowra first-up. Has a solid second-up record and will relish the good tempo. Each-way. WOLF ISLAND (4) back in his right class and will go back from the draw and be ridden for luck. Snagged back from the outside gate and never got into the contest when tenth over 1300m at Canberra in C2 grade. Norton bit comes off and worth another chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,5,6,4.
