HARLEM SHUFFLE (4) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when fourth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1400m at this track. Form this track is hard to knock with two wins from six starts. Will prove tough to beat. ALMA VENUS (1) has returned in good order this campaign. Collected her maiden win first-up at this track then backed it up with a solid second over 1200m at this track at the latest outing. Nicely drawn on the fence and looks set to run well. DERMA UCHIGAKE (12) returns after a spell of four months. Looking to emulate her win at this track at the beginning of last prep. Has a top first-up record of four wins from five runs. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. KITANO HOSEKI (2) returns from a spell of five-and-a-half months and is having her first run for a new yard. Finished seventh at Kyoto Dirt over 1400m when first-up last time in work. Wary.
