Arctic Fox to go to the lead at a genuine tempo. DESERT MADAME (6) has improved since joining the local Melda Daniels stable, and she ran on strongly last time to grab third over 1100m here a week ago. If this race has not come too soon for her, then she is the one to beat. ARCTIC FOX (7) was not far off the top pick when finishing fourth over 1100m in the same race last time out. An extra 200m will suit her, and with the right run, she can figure in the top 3 for the first time in her career. PANCHO'S PLACE (3) is in top form with back-to-back placings, the latest a close second by almost a length over 1200m here nearly 3 weeks ago. He has the pole position this time, so stick with him. THREE AY EM (2) ran third over 1400m here last start in his first start from the Campbell McCallum stable, and he won't have to improve much more to pick up his first win. SNOW GEM (1) is the best of the rest in a fairly tame contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Desert Madame can win this.
