GOING: S(5)

THE AGENCY REAL ESTATE HANDICAP 1100m

Track: Soft 5   Rain (Max: 26)   Rail: +4m Entire. (Pent: 5.03)

Expecting Doogan's Design to take up the running with Art's Alive and Miss Capitale close at hand. MANUKAU (9) back in class and rewarded for her consistency with a comfortable Maiden victory over 1000m at Kembla Grange in fast time. Raced well in town two starts back and will have little trouble handling this grade fourth-up. Genuine top-three prospect. VANESSI (7) snagged back from the wide barrier and ridden for luck when she savaged the line to secure third behind Big Red Tequila over 1100m at Warwick Farm. A repeat effort can see her finish over the top of these. MISS CAPITALE (10) is a lightly raced mare building a solid winning CV. Resumed for her second prep with an effortless on-pace win over 1200m at Beaumont (Newcastle) in the soft (6) going. Another who steps up a level who can overcome the awkward draw. THAMES (3) Listed placegetter with sound second-up credentials. Can race a little closer tonight and stays in the calculations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Manukau and Vanessi can fight it out.
