Genuine tempo from Holy Crown leading Gilbert's Gold. SUPER TALON (6) is promising. Was spelled off a deserved Maiden win here and then won a trial before a lip defeat at Mackay first-up. He's placed 2/2 second-up and this is a winnable assignment. DARLING CLEMENTINE (9) brings a 5L win from Thangool heavily bet. Won her Maiden here at the back of the previous campaign and should enjoy a soft run. She also has claims. AMBERINGER (2) is knocking on the door. Finds a touch easier and is in the mix. GILBERT'S GOLD (3) placed third by 1.5 lengths last start at this track and should be prominent, worth consideration. MELO MELO KAVA (5) closed off nicely when beaten 1.75 lengths last time at Bowen. One for consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Super Talon.
