Grinding Away is the likely leader and should be able to get there comfortably. THERE WERE ROSES (14) is a promising filly sitting at the bottom of the weights. Impressed charging home from back to be beaten a nose on the Hillside on debut, and then did a good job beaten 1,6L in an Open 3 F at Flemington heavily bet. Maps well and the step up to a middle distance will suit. Williams sticking aboard is a decent push for her chances. PEEAITCHDEE (6) is also heading in the right direction. Peaks off a nose defeat at Mornington up to 2000m bet deep into the red and Lane is a key jockey engagement. He's likely to push forward and it's hard to risk the yard. A danger. DHARAM SHALAA (1) is third up and can show more rising to a preferred distance range. He will give away a start but has good ability and should be running into it. RUSCELLO (7) was tracking well before a plain effort at Moe on a heavy track when ridden more forward. Hard-fit and is worth another try over the middle distance.
