Pace strong with Pontmeirion and Quizlet charging forward to join Summer Night kicking up. McEvoy-trained VIXENETTE (11) is third up and will be sharper returning to the turf. Raced favourite on the synthetic last time but got too far back. Has placed third up and has the blinkers on for the first time. Her metro form stacks right up for this. NAVAL FORCE (1) made sharp improvement missing a nose at Geelong over this distance. Maps for a soft run and has a handy 2kg claim. Goes wet and dry and just has to hold the form to make the finish. VADERLEE (5) has needed both runs this preparation and is much better suited back in grade off the latest. Maps well and has plenty in the tank. TEARS ARE FLOWING (4) is a lightly-raced improver who will use an inside barrier. Bates goes on and she deserves consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Vixenette.
