GOING: G(4)

COOLMORE DENMAN CUP 1280m

Track: Good 4   Clouds (Max: 31)   Rail: +3m 1000m - 300m, True Remainder.

Earl Of Bantry is the likely leader at a slick tempo. I AM LETHAL (1) resumes after closing off strongly for fifth in the Wagga Town Plate back in May. Has been given two trials to prepare, winning the latest, and with genuine tempo expected he will be launching hard late. EARL OF BANTRY (8) has impressed in two runs back from a long layoff. From the low draw he’ll press forward, and third-up he should take plenty of catching. PUERTO BANUS (4) is a model of consistency for the Perry stable. Returns with two solid trials under his belt and boasts an excellent record at this course and distance. Expect another bold showing. MAFIA (2) disappointed last start at Canterbury but his prior form was strong, and a return to that level makes him a serious player. SMART SERENADE (9) steps up after a dominant all-the-way win at Taree. Tougher here but worth respect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Slight lean to I Am Lethal in a tough contest.
