VALE TONY DENNIS 1400m

Track: HEAVY 10     True

Strong tempo with Sir Sterling and Maximus Augustus leading from Where's Wally and Jack Attack. LEMON CURD (8) just battled into seventh place fresh up over 1400m at Riccarton nearly 3 weeks ago, but was not that far from the winner. She boasts a strong second-up record and is capable of taking this out, at what should be some value. SIR STERLING (3) capitalised on the rails draw last start, leading all the way to win over 1335m at Gore 12 days ago. He cops an extra 2kg for his efforts, but still looks tough to beat again. MOVE ON (9) overcame a wide draw last start, charging home to score handsomely by more than 2 lengths at Oamaru over 1400m. She is a lot stronger this season and could repeat the dose. JACK ATTACK (11) secured an all-the-way win last time out over today's distance at Riccarton on the poly track just over 3 weeks ago. Floor Moerman retains the ride, and with her 3kg claim, the pair merits healthy respect again. BUOYANT (2) ran a better race than it looks on paper at Riccarton last time out. He will be peaking third up from a spell, and a win would not shock. SUGGESTED PLAY: Making Buoyant the each-way bet of the day.
