Plenty of pace evident with Royal Hill and Shezavixen leading the way from Another Nephew and Tabor. MAXXI BON (13) improved again missing a nose at Bendigo over a mile. He's proven third-up and is a player. Laurie-trained TAKA SPEED (7) finished over the top of them when winning a Cranbourne on debut and impressed. The longer trip shouldn't prove an issue and with the extra fitness he's capable of taking the next step. SHEZAVIXEN (11) missed a whisker over a mile at Moe first-up and and she's raced in better city class since. Comes back in trip and she can use the inside barrier. Ben Melham replaces the 3kg apprentice and that's a decent push for her chances. ANOTHER NEPHEW (5) hasn't made an impression this campaign but can sneak into the finish here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Maxxi Bon appeals most.
