Expecting Izola to lead Siege Perilous at just a moderate tempo. SIEGE PERILOUS (5) is in a leading metro yard and is the threat. He disappointed heavily bet at Geelong back in trip but brought strong form to that. Peaks now and over the longer distance is worth another chance. WINDY PEAK (11) spiked her figures when beaten 1.4L here over this distance. Draws awkwardly, but won't have to improve much to fight out the finish. Ben Melham sticks with the Waller-trained WILLIE SUNSHINE (6), and we are likely to see more over this journey. He has more to give and he goes in. IZOLA (8) hasn't shown much this campaign but will strip fitter third-up and could sneak a place with some luck. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Siege Perilous.
