Genuine pace with Brillant Aube taking up the running ahead of Blue Passion and Rhein Artemis. FURNACE CREEK (2) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was always well out of his ground over 1200m at Hanshin, beaten 12 lengths into 16th. Faces an easier assignment so he is one of the main contenders. RHEIN ARTEMIS (11) hit the frame two starts ago at Kawasaki but ran below par last time when 13th and beaten 6 lengths over 1600m at Tokyo. Finds the right race this time and can turn things around. YOSHIHIRO (3) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest effort a fourth beaten 0.7 lengths over 1500m at this track. Nice draw here and gets his chance to break through. BEST FANTASY (8) was beaten 11 lengths into 11th in a 1400m contest at Hanshin six-and-a-half weeks ago. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
