Solid tempo from Palace Prince, Can't Catch Me and Perini Palace battling for the lead in a high-pressure contest. PALACE PRINCE (5) made the expected natural improvement when winning his last start over 1160m at Turffontein. He is a progressive type and Muzi Yeni retains the ride. He does take on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be well up to the task at hand. PEARL IN HER CROWN (3) ran a fair race over 1800m on this course last time. She drops back to 1400m and the blinkers should sharpen her up. Rates well as a leading chance. SAIL THE SKY (1) is better than his last start over 1600m would suggest. His three starts prior to that outing were good. 4kgs claiming apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia takes the ride and he would not be a shock winner. AFTER HOURS (4) ran a fair race over 1500m on this course last time out when finishing fifth of eight. Has place prospects and should be included in exotic bets.
